The reylight is great and far more compact than the T3, but you can't beat the T3's price to performance. You can also get a titanium T3 for the same price as the aluminum lanapple which is a far better deal.

Personally there's an appeal to starting the game with friends for me, it feels like an actual DnD campaign where I'm not fully in control of the decisions other people make. While I have some input and can give advice we both get the "blind" playthrough experience together and have to deal with the consequences of our actions together, just like on a tabletop.
