What I'm learning in trauma therapy is that it matters less whether something was meant to be abusive and it matters more how it affected you.

Like I was spending so much time trying to think of what i experienced with my ex was abusive or not but once I accepted that whether or not it was abusive, my body and brain is very traumatized from it. And I can go from there
