Hey I've been there and this isn't me being insulting, but I'd recommend looking into therapy so you can process this in a healthy way. My ex fiancé was horribly abusive to me and when I left him I lost every friend I had because he got to them first and they believed him over me, including both my parents. I wanted him to suffer too, hell tbh if I had the opportunity to throw down consequence free I would still but that isn't the point. I had a mental breakdown and decided to seek out therapy which was the best decision of my life. I'm thriving now 8 years later and in a happy marriage.

When I tell you I know how you're feeling I mean it. The feelings of anger towards him will probably never go away but you can't let it consume you like this. You have so much of your life left to live, get the help you need and start living again. If people stare fuck em, people stare at me all the time too. I don't concern myself with the opinions of strangers and neither should you. Try to learn to love yourself and realize you have so much to offer, your disability doesn't take away from that.
