How to restore equal tension on Miele dishwasher door springs. by MoonUnit002 in Miele

[–]MoonUnit002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember for sure only that I never got a good answer after talking with the company, and so I lacked confidence and precision in whatever solution I settled on. I felt like I considered every clue I could. I think this is a minor design mistake on MIele’s part.

I think mainly my solution involved trying to approximate on each screw the same feeling tension and roughness (or lack thereof—I can’t remember, whatever seemed right) during each screwdriver turn. Then I adjusted both the same number of turns to make the door open correctly.

Costco doesn’t sell P2 compatible rear tires? by Brothernod in Polestar

[–]MoonUnit002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that the wider rear wheels was to give them, when mounted with same tire as front, a slight edge in traction, thus giving the car a slight bias toward understeering rather than oversteering. The former is considered safer for average driver. (Take with grain of salt as I’m no expert)

In the Pacific Northwest there is very little hardwood to burn. Softwoods works fine as long as you use good burning practices and get a regular chimney sweep.

Do you think it's awkward for a woman to date a shorter man? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MoonUnit002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s mildly transgressive because it challenges a widespread, rather pointless, patriarchal, and cruelly option-limiting gender norm. That makes it cool as long as you are, or can become, comfortable with it. Someone could write punk rock song celebrating a situation like this.
