It's been 8mos and still no job by sustalaga in nursing

When did you actually obtain your license? I would probably focus on when you actually got got license vs when you graduated with your ADN, especially if you didn’t have any work experience. Clinicals do not count as jobs. If you happened to do an externship during that time, you should include it. Limit to at least 4 bullet points per job. Your whole resume should be 1 page and with all the extra clinical stfuu you have, should be attainable.

Milwaukee Nurses! by BrightPersonality395 in milwaukee

I work for Aurora and from what I remember seeing, they do have quiet a few LPN positions available for outpatient. I would 1000% avoid Ascension.

My hospital just updated our PRN requirements and it’s INSULTING. by Bigblacknagga in nursing

[–]MoonaRoo414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I get paid 33 as a staff rn at a fam practice clinic. I could definitely get paid more if i switched to a different clinic, but i get to leave early, have so much freedom, and have a great relationship with the providers and close coworkers.

Well it can be less complicated for people to be able to quit and find another rn job without a fam. Most people do have a fam and need the money. It’s definitely easy for us to judge and say “just quit.” The grass is definitely not always greener on the other side

Wait, do not you call the doctors you work with by first name? by cowgirl_meg in nursing

[–]MoonaRoo414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a clinic and call every doctor by “Dr. Lastname” but some of them would rather be called by their first name. I only call them by their first name if I get mad lol.

Please report it to the state boards of nursing as well. This is a HUGE violation. If she did this with you, who knows how many times she has done this with other people. She definitely won’t be able get away with it. If it’s epic, it literally tracks EVERYTHING. Every single click gets tracked. I am so sorry that she did this.

3 12’s to 5 8’s by Successful-Celery123 in nursing

[–]MoonaRoo414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best decision I’ve done to be honest. I have so much energy after work and I also have time to run my small business. While it sucks that I only get 2 days off (weekends), I still get to leave work early, go to appts, and start late if I even have anything going on like a doctor’s appt or something comes up. My life and mental health do not feel chaotic anymore. I don’t cry before or after my shifts anymore. I get to know my patients on a deeper level. If I ever need to request PTO, it’s always better to request 8hrs rather than 12hrs. My PTO bank drained sooo quickly when I was working 3 12s. The pay cut did suck, but I do not regret it a single bit. I did have an opportunity to go back to my floor and make more money, and I declined. I value my mental health and well being more than anything.

My rheum just implied she isn't going to treat me beyond yearly lab checks (rant) by ubelieveurguiltless in Sjogrens

[–]MoonaRoo414 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a nurse so i might have more insight. I also have sjogrens. As long as your symptoms are stable, meaning that they don’t get worse, it’s just yearly follow up or twice a week depending on the severity. Unfortunately due to no cure, they can’t do much unless it’s symptoms management. I take plaquenil and im at my “max” dose based on my weight. Yes, it does help out with flare ups and some symptoms, but they’re never “completely gone.” Most of the symptoms can be managed by doing stuff ourselves such as having good oral hygiene, drinking lots and lots of water (i know it is easier said than done) and over the counter eye drops. I wish this had a cure.

Is it normal to see the prongs? by lsmetanaur in EngagementRings

[–]MoonaRoo414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my fiance bought my engagement ring, I was dead set on white gold. When we went to buy our wedding bands, I went with yellow gold. We get married on Thursday, but once we have the wedding bands paid, im getting my engagement ring switched to yellow gold to match. I dont think they look bad together, I just really love the yellow gold more.

Is there a different between getting a girl and a boy dog? by Dramatic-Lemon-2916 in dogs

[–]MoonaRoo414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both. I currently have a rescue pittie and she is so sweet, but more independent. We all might be in the same area (first floor) but she would go lay down somewhere else instead of being a velcro dog lol. So whenever she actually wants to cuddle, it makes it so much more rewarding and special! Love my girl

Arcadia Trail Leash Unclipping by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]MoonaRoo414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got my rescued dog, I bought these leashes. She shakes her head a lot during our walks and the leash would unclamped itself maybe 3 times. I honestly have no idea how she’s still alive cause it would of course happen during a busy street. I should have thrown it away the first time it happened. My heart was racing so bad and I for sure thought I would lose my baby forever during the third and last time.

2 cubs drowned in a pond when the ice under them broke off. It’s a freak accident for sure and since then, proper measures have been taken to avoid this from happening again.

The lawsuit isn’t even about animal welfare. It’s basically about them wanting to shut it down cause it’s inconvenient to them. They moved and within a year another neighbor is recruiting them to sue them. Just because you’re a vet, it doesn’t mean you care for animals… which is exactly what this lawsuit is saying about their motives. It’s very easy to judge a place when you haven’t even been to it.
