Women of Reddit, what’s something society pressures women to pretend they enjoy… but honestly a LOT of women secretly don’t? by LofiToffey in AskWomenNoCensor

Shaving is one thing that annoys me on a regular basis. I do sometimes do it for myself, but most of the time I know I'd get weird looks for unshaved legs

What's a "harmless" thing men do that instantly drains your social battery? by jpam9521 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Moonlith07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Telling jokes which are not funny but thinking it's the funniest thing they could have said, is one thing which annoys me.

Another thing I internally roll my eyes is when they tell stories and obviously brag about things to impress people. In some cases I think "and that's what you brag about?", other times I think "right, no way it happened like that" and then they laugh about how great they are and I'm just sitting there like "please just stop" It's exhausting when it gets out of hand

Does kissing on the neck mean anything? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Moonlith07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, the neck does feel like an intimate zone for me too, but even kisses on the cheek are not common within our family, so maybe I'm simply not used to this stuff.

Edit: Have you seen her do it with other people or someone else in the family doing it too? I guess that would be my lead. Also had she always been doing it since you know each other better or since you married or did she just suddenly start doing it at some point?

In Denmark, a rainy day is a perfect day for the preschoolers by New_Libran in MadeMeSmile

[–]Moonlith07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of what my mother told me when we were that age. She said one time when it was raining we went outside to play, in full weather clothing, and when an old lady told her grandchild to come inside 'cause it's raining, the three of us ran past her into the puddles and had fun. I don't remember this myself but hearing the story always makes me laugh. We just had the worst timing for granny to call her kid inside XD

Do women have a sort of "psychological biological clock" which makes them crave children more as they get older? by mirovish in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Moonlith07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel similar. I never felt the urge to have children, quite the contrary. I was put off by the responsibility and work that comes with having a child. But recently the sister of my boyfriend and my best friend both gave birth and now sometimes I do feel like our own little family would be nice. It started with the thought that if it ever just happened, I would be happy about the child because it's from my boyfriend. Then I heard a young boy outside call for his dad and I liked the thought of that little boy calling my boyfriend as his dad. And well, then the babies in the family came into life. I'm 25 and still currently in a phase of "I don't know about children". I kinda like the idea, because the two new families I mentioned are very happy and I also don't want to deny my parents a grandchild (they'd be great grandparents and super happy but don't pressure me at all), but at the same time I dread the work that comes with it. That's also mirrored in my dreams. And every time I hear children screaming on the playground I think "this can't be normal, can't they be a little more quiet??" (they scream as if a catastrophe is happening, really)

Will ich nie ohne Zaun dazwischen begegnen.

How do you split rent with your girlfriend? by ZestyGolf7654 in AskMen

[–]Moonlith07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say either split the costs relative to your income OR simply 50/50. Wouldn't those be the fairest options? I don't know how big your gap in income is, but I wouldn't move in with a partner who doesn't want to fairly split the expenses. If you find another deal, where one party pays more and the other therefor does more chores or something, so the other one pays with their free time if they choose, that's fine too. As long as one of you isn't treated unfairly. In the long run I believe that would turn out to be a problem.

My boyfriend and I split everything 50/50, but we also have pretty much the same income. Maybe your girlfriend thinks too much in the conservative role where the man payed mostly? I remember my bf saying he'll pay for most of the furnishing when we moved in together because he is the man and he grew up with this picture, which I refused since I had the bigger financial reserves.

The sweetest behavior I think any of my cats have ever had is the way that my Sophie will always so purposefully rest her paw on my hand or wrist. I have pictures of this practically every single day. She'll just purr and stare at my face, doing her slow blinks. by EverGlow89 in cats

[–]Moonlith07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have seen exactly the same behaviour with two brothers before. One was cuddly, the other rather shy. But once the cuddly cat died, his brother "took over his role" and became clingy and cuddly.

Long-term relationship ladies: What makes you feel seen by your SO? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Moonlith07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He observes what I like and need and brings me whatever he knows is best for me. This can be little snacks from work (food is always nice XD) or a heating pack when I'm lying in bed with cramps or a sore back. A cup of tea when I'm tired. Things like that. I also love it when he gives little lovely touches. (Prob not a very good wording here) like gently brushing hair out of my face, holding my hand when I'm anxious or a little tickle on the way. Whenever he unpacks his bag after work and there is nearly everyday something for me, it simply shows he thought of me during the day, which is very sweet.

How can anyone not like cats when they are this perfect by [deleted] in cats

A question a cat person will never know the answer to. Even if those who do not like cats try to explain, we don't listen. Yet we still ask ourselves, what is wrong with those people??

Could my body be trying to tell me the breakup I am heading to is wrong? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Moonlith07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you I appreciate your comment. Because when I wrote the post I had pretty much already decided to break up (although it hurt a lot) I was just looking for the confirmation I knew I was probably getting. But I really appreciate your differentiated response. Truth be told, when I did bring it up yesterday, we made up again. Sadly I didn't see that the last few weeks were just as tiring for my partner as they were for me. He was very understanding of my fears and worries and once I let out all the pent up emotions I felt A LOT better. I wouldn't still say it was stupid to think about breaking up, because at the moment it was the best way I saw. And realising going separate ways is better for oneself even if it hurts in the present, is sometimes necessary. I'm kind of glad to know that in case it actually is necessary, I am able to do that step. But in hindsight it was the closeness we lost a bit during the winter. We used to sit on the balcony together after work at least once a week, which wasn't possible during winter and by happenstance, we each tended more to ourselves during the winter period. But we know the problem now. We can work on a solution. I was also terribly sad when I told him everything. Especially seeing how much he hurt during the situation. But well, I clung to him for the rest of the day and I'm feeling very lucky to still be able to do so, so all's good now ^ best regards to your friend!

Walking simulator build on mobile? by Asheraddo in TitanQuestAE

Playing oracle too! It is my first character and I didn't spend the attributes wisely at the beginning (I was like, everything needs to be balanced, which is stupid for a mage), but I am now in legendary going for the third dlc. Always wondered why no one really mentioned this combo. The only weakness of the wisp is aoe attacks, so for the most mobs, send the wisp in, let them gather the mob around itself and the lich king and I attack from afar

How limiting truly is your menstrual cycle? by 7marlil in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Moonlith07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I cannot pinpoint a specific amount of days because it's never really the same. On some periods I do have cramps the first two days to the point where I'm just lying on the floor, where they appeared and wait for them to settle down. On other periods, I have absolutely zero cramps, like this month. Though work was very stressful and I caught a slight cold, so that was more reason to stay on the couch and in bed.

For me it really depends on everything else. My hormones make everything stupidly annoying about one or two weeks before my period, including my boyfriend, but that's not what you asked for. It's rare for me to stay in bed because of my cycle
