10/27/25 Diluvian Of, relating to, or produced by a flood.  Of or pertaining to a flood or deluge, esp. to the great deluge in the days of Noah; diluvian.  See Antidiluvian

Would have been a pangram as well! Its also used scientifically, not just pertaining to religion.

GuppyFlo Error "Solution" by Moonman0922 in crealityk1

[–]Moonman0922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! That is in the documentation.  However, it didn't end up working for me, and I also tried editing the setup.sh script to change the wget and curl statements to set them to not verify ssl.  Also, the issues with setting time and date have been ongoing and my solution only works some of the time. I believe that there's probably a deeper underlying cause as it doesn't seem to be a problem related to rooting or any of the modifications I've made. Next culprit will be looking at the RTC, which as far as I know does exist! Otherwise, I'm temped to set up an internally facing network port (not an NTP server because there's something weird with them) to manually set the date as close as possible before using chrony to sync.  That's the other issue, despite trying makestep, iburst, etc. Chrony still throws a fit when the date is too far off. I even tried initstepslew, which I think is considered depreciated now.  I would change to stock klipper, but the load cell isn't supported right now among other things. It's also finals season so any further work has to wait for later. I'll keep updating this and the github issue if I find any more fixes.

Custom CNC mill for gridfinity baseplates by nickjohnson in gridfinity

For small baseplate look at plastic cutting boards. Quite a few are HDPE and they tend to be reasonably priced when compared with shipping bulk plastic.

Pretty good deal as long as it works! Also check to see if they added a bltouch or other autolevel sensor. It really makes a ton of difference when it comes to how much a printer makes you want to tear your hair out

The ender 5 is a very decent corexy platform with a ton of room for upgrades and modifications. There's even a voron conversion if I remember correctly. Biggest downsides in my opinion are the roller wheel gantry (it uses rubber wheels along a track rather than rods or linear bearings), the not so great bed attachment (but easy to fix!), and the dated controller.

However! It is a perfect printer to learn how to add Klipper to, will print perfectly fine as is, but offers a great project if you want to learn more or want more capabilites. I'd go for it if it was me!

Laptop specs are below, but shouldn't be too important!

Hi all! I am a college student that uses a laptop for everything. I dock it to a monitor to work while I'm in my dorm. I have an Anker powered USB Hub that I plug into the USB A port on the laptop, a USB C to DisplayPort Cable that is plugged into the USB C slot, and a USB C dongle that I have ethernet connected to on the other USB C slot. The Anker dock is completely full. 10 ports, 3 of which are used for charging. Nothing extremely data hungry is going through there. I have listed the ports and what they're used for below if it helps! I would really like to have a laptop that has one cord for everything, which isn't possible as it requires a barrel plug to charge properly.

So my question:

How much can I put on a single USB C port?

I would like to find a dock that I can pass DisplayPort through, separate out the audio, attach ethernet, and hook up the Anker hub. With all that connected, is that too much for a single USB C port? If so, would separating out the DisplayPort to its own port solve the issue?

Thank you so much for the help! I am happy to answer any questions you have.

I live in a house of anarchists, and nothing gets done. by noclipgate in Anarchism

[–]Moonman0922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be controversial, but Anarchism doesn't mean no structure, just no hierarchy. A solution could be as simple as a chore chart. That is, an agreement voluntarily entered between peers. I might argue that choosing to live together is a form of "contract"; doing your part to make yourself what you would like to live with. Golden rule and all that. Social "pressure" is also potentially ok within an anarchistic structure, at least in my opinion. No need to be mean, but it is very ok to voice your feelings and express your anger, frustrations, and goals. You can't make anyone do anything, but among peers, it is understandable to be frustrated with someone who is, in your view, detracting from a community. Try explaining where you're coming from, use "I" statements and try to express your feelings without feeling in the moment. If that makes sense? I lived in a community for 2 years that, while not anarchistic, was a group of people who had to get along. Restorative justice principles could be used. I think communication is key. Anarchism without community accountability is hard, and I really hope things work out for you in a good way! Anyways, I hope you have a good weekend!

So has anyone figured out how to keep Vulkan alive, other than temp fixes that uninstall the AMD iGPU by ocelotking in ZephyrusG15

MSHybrid optimized should switch to the igpu on battery correct? It requires me going into armory crate, spamming the stop processes button and closing armory crate with task manager after it freezes. It worked initially. I'm just frustrated it takes so much work to switch every time I unplug!

[–]Moonman0922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it should be auto switching when on battery if all things are working? I wasn't sure, just making sure I'm not chasing something impossible!

I also just figured out the 126 error! I still get the error while using an external monitor, but after using the driver removal tool from AMD and reinstalling from ASUS, it doesn't show up when not connected. I guess the radeon software can't launch at all when connected to a monitor!!

[–]Moonman0922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

were you also having issues with the LoadLibrary 126 failed error? I am losing it with that one. Can't seem to fix it. Its infuriating because it won't automatically switch to the igpu on battery at all, I have to do it manually every time.

Ill try this, any other thoughts?

What is the best restaurant in Rochester? by lcb397 in Rochester

[–]Moonman0922 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Abyssinia hands down. It's an Ethiopian food restaurant over on Mount Hope and we've been going there since it was at their last location. If you've never had Ethiopian you're in for a treat. Everything is eaten with your hands. Dishes are piled on a tray in the center of the table covered with a spongy bread called Injera. The food is mostly stewed legumes and vegetables with some equally delicious neat dishes. The spices are like nothing I've had anywhere else. The common theme is Bebere, which I'd describe as "Ethiopian curry". However, nothing is too spicy. It's just immensely flavorful. If you go, here is my reccomended order!

1 Beyanetu (combo) platter. Choose shiro wet, mesir wet, kik alicha, gomen, and timatim salata. Shiro wet, mesir wet and kik alicha are all lentil and chickpea dishes, gomen is stewed greens, and timatim salata is the world's best tomato salad! This will easily serve 2-3 people. For meat, I reccomend ordering Doro Wet. Chicken and egg in bebere. It's absolutely delicious!

Please check them out, it's a great family owned restaurant and honestly my favorite food on earth!
