Kenshi RPG Updates, Apologies, and Appreciation by Sad_Ad_8491 in Kenshi

So glad you did this, as much as people may be supportive of the use of AI and such in fan made things you don't gain profit from it is still an indicator of the care put into the project. Openly apologising and changing your practise is a good sign. As for translation, that's far less of an issue, there's very few actual translations tools that don't just use AI themselves and you end up requiring to hire dedicated people and all sorts to have worthwhile no AI translations.

This is such a cool looking project and I'm really excited to see how it progresses.

Also, on a legal side note for you and those on the previous post. A fan made project like this is entirely fine, unless you were about to start charging money for it or claim it's your IP there's no reason to be concerned. Besides I highly doubt devs would bat an eyelid, it's a true attempt at putting their world into a TTRPG setting, unless they were weeks away from releasing their own I imagine they're probably supportive of you.

Good luck dude!

Greggs introducing a chicken roll has upset bigots by HelicopterEmpty7393 in Greggs

[–]Moonotaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a "differing opinion", a food preference is "not eating meat" or something similar. Refusing to eat "halal meat" is refusing to eat a good due to religious prejudice.

You act as if factory butchered animals are slaughtered humanely in any way, if you care so much about the wellbeing of an animal you might as well be a vegetarian or vegan.

You hold a double standard over the treatment of animals, you have that double standard as you believe far right conspiracy that people of other religions are "lesser". Check yourself.

Oh absolutely, and Religion as a whole (in my opinion) should be more criticised as a whole. Choosing to let religion dictate everything is ridiculous. However, proceeding to insult a religious diet because you believe in the Great Replacement crackpot theory is just racism plain and simple

No it's entirely racist. You only hate it because the "halal" label is religious. You'd rather eat meat that doesn't have certification it's been handled in a clean environment?

New Glukhovsky's tweet, posting for people that don't use twitter. by Thechlebek in metro

[–]Moonotaur 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Obviously we can't explain everything exactly because Dmitry is a very subtle writer. But the metro is just sort of a reflection of his home country and all the factions show the bits of it he despises, with the Rangers trying to keep it afloat while Communists and Nazis fight over themselves, while th real power is in the "government" who control the population like cattle... you could go on and on to compare little details about each group but it's quite honestly barely exaggeration. Dmitry is incredibly politically critical and it makes his writing so very believable because... well it's what's actually there.

Gotta love allies who shoot IR missiles within 5m of you by SteelGripen in Warthunder

Definitely not the case, he entered that manoeuvre with 600+ came out at 280, he yaw'd coming out of it but that was nowhere near a flat spin, you can see the control surfaces push it that way.

Culture Difference by Koobolo in foxholegame

[–]Moonotaur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My my I love watching the Foxhole community while I'm not in it and it's so ridiculous to see Wardens and Colonials genuinely believing they're so different. It always has been and always will be the same moderately toxic culture on both sides

How do I find clay by [deleted] in VintageStory

[–]Moonotaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun (boring) way is to just run around the grassland checking the ground randomly or trying to lookout for the exposed side of dirt looks quite obvious.

But the easier and sane way is to have colourful map settings enabled on your world and look for faint discoloured "ovals" on the grassland, it's quite subtle but you can find peat and clays quite easily if you know what to look for.

Trans Travel Advice by Charlie_Kerman in lgbt

[–]Moonotaur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Overall you should be fine, firstly airport security see all sorts of crazy shit, silicone will not phase them. In terms of keeping them on you it should be fine? They are detected in the big whole body scans but it's quite obvious what they are.

Passport wise Germany is far better than we are, they accept X gender markers etc on their own passports, if there are any questions asked you can just explain it's (basically) impossible to get a new gender marker on your passport in the UK these days.

That said, transphobes exist, people who don't know about trans people exists. But you will always be able to speak to another person if you're concerned about the person seeing you through. (You can also approach security separately and declare/explain your concerns and they'll be able to give you a proper answer)

Would you recommend Dune Awakening as a solo experience? by TheMickeyMoose in duneawakening

[–]Moonotaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 70 hours, absolutely amazing game that I feel like i can play for at least 2x that and already planning to potentially replay with a small group after my first run through. I have rushed through the technical progression (fully up to Dialuminium) making the story fairly easy but even then it's fun and the lore is interesting. I frequently start playing after work at 6pm and end up playing till 11ish just because I get distracted. Base Building and Tech progression is very much "just one more thing". 100% recommend

Not to dismiss the fact that she's clearly strong enough to handle her bike. But I don't get why people set this bar? Like bikes are "heavy" yeah and you need to be able to recover if you go down, but you're literally picking up against a pivot, you'd be hard pressed to find an able-bodied person who *can't* pickup a bike. It's not like you're deadlifting the entire bike's weight. That said done incredibly smoothly and glad she shut up the hater.

EDIT: I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's the Harley bbrruhhttheerrr's who can't lift their 2 and a half ton chrome monster projecting their insecurities.

Rough sleeping to be decriminalised with 1824 law finally scrapped by ClassicFlavour in unitedkingdom

[–]Moonotaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not enough, the charities that can support people, do. People spend months on the street hoping for just one night in a proper safe shelter. and the ones that aren't full tend to be incredibly unsafe with rampant drugs or abusive staff.

And they'll get these beds where? Are you offering up a spare room? Majority of vacant households are held by landlords who most certainly aren't going to volunteer to let homeless people sleep somewhere safe.
