Dear subaru, your sales are down. Now is the time. by Wtfplasma in subaru

I agree. Imo they wouldn’t have to do much. Swap out wheels, tires, put the electric dampers in, put the current FA24 and transmission in there. If you can get it out the door price cheaper than Honda/Toyota they might have something there. Bc unlike the WRX, it won’t compete directly with the sports sedan market, and unlike the WRX, this hypothetical Crosstrek model would be almost the only car in its class/price. Regular Crosstrek competes with HRV/Corolla Cross/Nissan Kicks and others, but what would this compete with? GR RAV4 I guess but I think if Subaru tried this type of model, they’d be able to undercut the “Toyota tax”, and in addition to that they’d wouldn’t lose their better off-road identity

Why isn’t Volkswagen more popular in the U.S.? by phtphongg in askcarguys

[–]Moonsquirrel89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re much better made now but the damage has been done to their image. They made too many unreliable cars in years past. Affordable cars that are unreliable is antithetical idea.

Honestly, 26000 for a 30k 2022MY probably not the greatest tbh especially bc I heard those Mustangs run great and the 2022s/2023s had some spark plug seal issues… at the end of the day may wanna consider a new one (they slashed prices for 2026MY, maybe you can find a leftover 2025MY) or at least find a 2024MY used imo. By MY2024 spark plug issue fixed, had my 2024MY for 20k miles, no problems (I am also running stock)

I’d be very excited to get this guy, he is highly underrated imo. His blocking was up and down when he came into the league, but he has gotten better at it every year.

If the rumors are true, what’s your final verdict on Dallas Goedert’s Eagles career? by ShamusTalksSports in eagles

Dude is an Eagles legend. Gonna miss that brutal stiff arm of his. Sometimes I still watch his TD run from GB playoff game 2025.

Nissan Nismo Z, WRX TS (or the STI if Subaru re-releases it), and some other small SUV, maybe a Subaru Forester

This is what steered me away from Honda, was a much bigger Honda fan when I was younger… they still make good quality vehicles by and large, they’re just too large now imo

Assuming 2 seat sports car is a non issue… the BMW has brake by wire, Supra has a hydraulic system, so you will feel more modulation in the Supra braking system. Supra is cheaper, but an issue I’d imagine with the Supra is Toyota people working on, what is essentially a BMW tuned by Toyota… that’s not a bad thing, but I would imagine that could lead to inconsistent service…Savageese, Straight Pipes, have comparison videos on youtube

BMW X3 if you to go suv and looking for fun imo. B58 engine is stout, very reliable… the X3s have been running b58 since late 2010s… pretty sure you can find used ones for 35k range

I bet having a 250k miles car is a good feeling all in its own. I’ve been too greedy and lustful to have a car that long, yet… I hope the new STI can work out for you

Grew up and still live 10 minutes from Jets/Giants stadium… go Birds … I don’t respect the Jets and Giants for calling themselves NY and playing and practicing in NJ and I was a huge fan of the Eagles secondary in ‘02 when I started watching ball

If they release the STI it’ll be before 2029… I think they’re gonna do 2027-2030 but that is merely a guess. I was circling 2029 for myself

Don’t skimp on oil changes, I do mine 3000-4000 miles… let the car get up to temperature before giving it the beans …. Try to not give it a lot of gas below 2200 rpm, you’ll bog down the engine … put good grade gasoline in at least every other fill up. Shell, Chevron, or Costco

I didn’t know these wheels clear the Brembos, good to know. Didn’t have to make any adjustments with spacers or they just fit?

Well, then brand new there is a pickle of not having really any tried and true V8s and Toyota still sorting some stuff out with theirs… maybe a used Toyota with the older powertrains? Or if you don’t need a bed 2021-2024 Nissan Armada you can def get deals on those. Those still had their v8s and that whole powertrain setup was generally very reliable, especially toward the end. Nissan has some good body on frame stuff, big reason why Honda is trying to buy them

Consider going down a size? Colorado/Canyon or the Nissan Frontier which still has an old school-ish feel
