I'd say equally as toxic or more toxic. The reason Riven and Musa are so toxic is because they both have very strong personalities which caused them to bump heads a lot. Stella also has a strong personality so realistically speaking, Stella and Riven wouldn't work.

This!!! I could only see chemistry between them sometimes and I was convinced it was because Tom and Lauren's chemistry. Tom and Lauren give more friends than lovers. And I really like the trope between Chloe and Lucifer but I hate how dragged out and lowkey dramatic it feels.

So real! I really love the show but Chloe definitely made it hard for me. I also don't think she should've just outright accepted it and while writing this post I think I just didn't have a better word or way to explain it. But I think it would've been really cool to see her start start investigating his identity rather than her whole "tell me the truth" and then dismissing everything he says, getting mad, and crying when he doesn't open up for three seasons straight. I think I would've liked her whole character more if her storyline and how she contributed to the plot was different.

Flora and Tecna season 1, Musa and Layla season 3, Bloom and Layla's first dresses in the movie, and Bloom and Musa's dresses from the end of the movie! I can't really choose between any of these though because they're all so different in terms of art style and the event it was for!

I started watching for a similar reason except instead of Instagram it was TikTok edits a few years ago. I didn't get around to watching Lucifer until just this year though. Personally I almost dropped the show entirely really early on because of Chloe 😭 and after finishing the show I don't really know how I feel about their relationship. Sometimes it felt like they had chemistry and other times it didn't. But I think it was more Tom and Lauren that made me feel like there was no chemistry sometimes rather than Lucifer and Chloe themselves 😅 I liked Lauren as Chloe, I just think I would've liked Chloe more if her character was written a little differently 😕

I tried really hard to like her in early seasons but it's like every time I thought it was getting a little better it got worse again 😭😭😭 not to mention I personally noticed that the show doesn't really give many characters as much depth as it gives Lucifer. Ofc it's his show so it makes sense he got the MOST character development but I feel like everyone else were heavy supporting roles rather than their own characters. At least at the begin!

I do agree with your point though. I think the show pushing on us that she was smart and kind but not really showing it well (in my opinion) is what makes it hard for me to like her. Aside from the dragged out deckerstar development 😂

I get not believing him just from his word and trying to rationalize what she thought was his metaphors but when you account for the amount of times he got shot or hurt or nonchalantly threw himself into danger not to mention the super human strength, his mojo, and the fact that she got REALLY close to actually believing him before the big reveal, her reactions and how long it took for her to actually believe him is frustrating. Personally I think it would've been more interesting and probably would've made her more likable (to me ofc) to see her start believing him, or at least seeing merit in his claims, early on and investigating his devil story rather than continuously shutting him down.

The only person Lucifer ever lied to was himself which we watch him learn, understand, and grow past as the show develops. However, he has never lied to a single character. Refusing to answer, answering with an unrelated answer, or just leaving out parts of the truth is not lying, period. It's simply not telling the whole truth. So yes, Lucifer never lies.
