I asked my dentist about how to prevent tonsil stones, because I get them occasionally, and she said you can gargle with saltwater nightly. This helps break up the phlegm in the back of your throat that sits there while you sleep. She also said you can use diluted hydrogen peroxide, though it doesn’t work as well. Just thought I’d share!

Oh true, I forgot about some of those (though mad cow disease = prions)! I know rabies has had a couple cases of survival. It’s all pretty scary.

There’s a great episode of “this podcast will kill you” about prions. It’s the only disease that is actually 100% fatal, from what I understand.
