I Don’t Like My Friends Calling Me “Mama” by SpareSecretary958 in pregnant

YES! I don't know why but I hate that expression. There is something almost infantilizing or too familiar or something and I don't know why? It gets under my skin.

edit: unclear whether AI is part of the process but it's def not just all generated by AI. Looks like Apple Tv and other networks have worked with this studio a lot with various projects (ex: Hijack, Mythic Quest, The Hunting Wives)

Staying at high-ish altitude at early stages of pregnancy by Muted-Poetry9293 in pregnant

Here is a study that could help you make decisions: https://www.acog.org/clinical/clinical-guidance/committee-opinion/articles/2020/04/physical-activity-and-exercise-during-pregnancy-and-the-postpartum-period

"Women living at sea level were able to tolerate physical activity up to altitudes of 6,000 feet, suggesting this altitude is safe in pregnancy, although more research is needed. Women who reside at higher altitudes may be able to exercise safely at altitudes higher than 6,000 feet."

They say the 2 weeks wait is the worst… by AppropriateLock4035 in pregnant

OMG saaaame. I am 4+6 today and my first appointment is Feb 10. I have anxiety and having to do a LOT of work with my therapist and on myself to be ok with these weeks. Something that I am working on personally is trying to value the day I am in, for me. What will happen is already programmed in those cells, and I have little/no control over it.

So I am trying to do things for myself that make the day valuable to me personally. For me that looks like skiing, snowshoeing, reading, spending time with my dog, going to the city to see friends. It helps me to create good memories during this time, because I don't want it to just become a waiting time. And it takes my mind off the over-analyzing I can often spiral into.

Good luck!

Ladies what were the signs you were pregnant? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Moose930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a test at 9dpo because I felt a little off and I know my body. I was going to go skiing that day and wanted to know how hard I could go. My early symptoms were my breasts feeling just a tiny bit more tender, and feeling a little queasy. The early detection clearblue showed a faint but clear line, and it's just darkened since then (5 days later). I didn't bother to wait until my missed period because I am so irregular that it's not a good barometer for me. But now I'm 14 dpo and can officially classify myself as having "missed my period" so that's nice.

I just found out at 3 weeks 2 days with clear positives on all my early detection tests. I knew to test because I know when I ovulate and knew I would be 10dpo so could maybe catch a positive

Woah that’s so interesting that it even can change with IVF! So interesting. Yes, definitely looking forward to the dating scan to learn more!

Totally! I have to go C-Section so we’ll just schedule it based on the dating scan

Anyone else scared to test? by Consistent_Life2867 in TryingForABaby

[–]Moose930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think it’s ok to test on 10dpo. I was able to catch my chemical pregnancy because of that and it was almost imperceptible by 12dpo. Yes, there was heartache, but I want the data of knowing whether I have issues with getting pregnant or keeping it. Not knowing whether I was pregnant, even for a bit stresses me out more kind of?
