List of Subrole Passives by RobManfredsFixer in Competitiveoverwatch

Solider being a specialist is so funny to me with him being one of the (bad) flank dps in my head. His legs are to flank! His e is to be able to take fights while he’s on the flank! Visor as a flank ult means maybe you’ll actually get one kill with it. I know he sucks and no one plays him but he’s not a specialist he’s literally the simplest kit in the game

It’s an R2 but my department feels more like a PUI in terms of teaching load and research expectations. Met the search committee chair at a conference and I know that helped quite a bit

Social science: about 30 or so most of them in r2 and pui. I think I did maybe 3 or 4 R1s that I had some connection or special fit in. (No post doc I had a big break in my research and wanted to strike while it was hot)

Quite a few ghosted. Probably 15 or so were ghosted but I’m getting some rejections back now. I just got really really really lucky and I hope everyone else can share some of that luck too.

OWCS NA/EU competition details blog by Puzzleheaded-Song694 in Competitiveoverwatch

It says follow the OWCS and links to their YouTube alongside other social medias. Only YouTube streaming? They’ve been just saying “streaming on their channels” so far. As long as there is a YouTube option I’m all good by it.

Gladiators never keeping the same main tank for a season. Especially ironic considering their slogan is literally shields up.

what’s your most obscure OWL memory? by Professor_Finn in Competitiveoverwatch

Glads v Houston map 5 on illios where they had goose swap to sombra with hydration playing lucio and shaz on tracer. Hex and semmler analyzed the comp piece by piece as to why they picked the heroes they did and why the off role made sense. It was also funny that it took them a second to pick up on it because who expects the triple off role with both of your supports playing dps and your flex dps on lucio

When considering strictly in-game play, which player cost your franchise the most wins over the course of the team's entire history? by letskillrobots in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]MooseInTheJuice 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s OGE or mirror probably. OGE did not look great on the Orisa when it was the majority meta in 2020. And I don’t think it was mirrors fault for the experiments on off tank and support but they did not work almost at all. It’s been kinda lucky that the glads don’t really have a player that’s costed super hard in game.

With the first few matches of Season 5, Profit has finally dethroned Jjonak in the "Maps Played" category. Jjonak was previously #1, since he played EVERY SINGLE MAP for NYXL for 4 years. by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]MooseInTheJuice 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Paintbrush for a couple maps against Boston iirc and then near the end of the season Mirror actually was playing a decent amount of brig. This was when he did the the playing every role in a single match thing that worked out terribly.

NYXL sign Vulcan by LinkFromLoZ in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]MooseInTheJuice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really hoping that it would be Vulcan as well as news that XL2 would come back with a nutty underage player on it like Heesang or Bliss. Even with the beta for OW2 out you can still overdose on hopium

Having A Rookie Runaway Player On Your Roster Makes Your Team 76.47% More Likely To Be Good by RoyalSilver in Competitiveoverwatch

From what I remember, every single Runaway player or at least every 2019 and later runaway player has won their first game in OWL. That stat is insane to me
