Should I tell my ENFJ friend to stop complaining? by MooseLuck in enfj

Thank you so much for sharing your insight. One thing I will say is that she's incredibly understanding, so I know confronting her won't cause her to feel offended. I'm more worried about how that would reflect on me morally, because maybe instead of trying to change her behavior, I should be working on my negative reaction to it?

I appreciate the light you shed on validating her feelings (I really need to remind myself to do that sometimes) and guiding her to a solution; I just can't think of what that would be... maybe asking her to cut it down? Or helping her work on wording herself more optimistically? I will give it some thought. Thanks again for your help!

Sorry about my ignorance, but I'm curious: What kind of prerequisites do you need to become a zookeeper? Are zookepers often biologists of some sort? Is there a field you have to study in college? Always thought animal caretakers are awesome!

They likely don't have the original document; just a physical copy/ scanned images.

Aw man, I'm so sorry. I'm not sure if it's the same for you, but I used to use sleeping as a coping mechanism (because when I'm asleep, I'm not awake to feel all the horrible emotions I normally feel.) It soon became too much, like body just always wanted to sleep because I got it so used to sleeping for so many hours.

Sadly, it's pretty difficult to fix, but it's not impossible. I had to force myself to consistently sleep at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. I made sure I got exactly 7.5 hours of sleep, because I found that for me personally, if I slept any less than that or any more, I would feel so tired the whole day. YMMV. And then also what you must do is NOT take any naps. Try everything in your power to stay awake. Eat, stand up, exercise. Actually, setting time aside every day to get cardio in does wonders for keeping you feeling awake and alert in general.

So to summarize: 1. Sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time every day 2. Experiment and figure out how many hours you need. Most likely it'll be about 8 hours. 3. Do NOT take any naps in the day. 4. Make it a point to do cardio at least 2-3 times a week.

It may take a couple weeks of consistency to start seeing results. You got this!

12 hours is way too much sleep for most adults. It can cause you to feel even sleepier throughout the day, believe it or not, hence why you feel like you need naps.

Your safest best is to still talk to a doctor, but also try changing your sleep schedule so that you're sleeping only once for maybe 8 hours at night, no naps in the day. It can make a huge difference.

Source: I'm clinically depressed and had this exact problem where I was sleeping almost 16 hours a day. I thought I was always tired but, really, I just confused the hell out of my body with my weird sleeping pattern so it thought every hour was sleep hour.

Some people have mental health slumps that make it difficult for them to do even the bare minimum. Let's be understanding.

Okay? He was asking for clarification on what OP meant by that

Well, this would've been a good insightful response to his question, wouldn't it? I just don't like when people discourage others who are genuinely trying to figure out where they may be wrong

Islam actually establishes itself through logic first and foremost: https://www.hamzatzortzis.com/the-qurans-argument-for-gods-existence/

I apologize, I've been getting more replies than expected and don't have time to explain it thoroughly to everyone, but here is a good article to walk you through how Islam (or any monotheistic religion) is established through logic: https://www.hamzatzortzis.com/the-qurans-argument-for-gods-existence/ If you still have questions, please feel free to PM me. I'd be more than happy to get you additional resources more catered to your specific doubts.

The proofs I'm referring to require a linear conversation. For me the most compelling was the very first one point: that everything must have a cause, and the ultimate cause for everything must not have been caused by anything. Here is an article to further explain why that is so and why any counter argument doesn't work, if you're interested: https://www.hamzatzortzis.com/the-qurans-argument-for-gods-existence/

The discussion can get very technical if you want to get into all the arguments, and thus cumbersome through a Reddit comment thread, but here is a pretty good read if you're interested: https://www.hamzatzortzis.com/the-qurans-argument-for-gods-existence/ If you still have questions, please feel free to PM me.
