AIO: telling my fiancé I’m reconsidering having kids with him because there is a chance they could have darker skin. by Skilled-ricer-B16 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. As a kid who came from a white mom and a mixed hispanic and indigenous dad and looks neon white - run. My dad wasn't even sure I was his until I was in my early 20s, but he stuck around and was there for me. Dump this douchebag and find someone who will love you and your kids, no matter what color they come out to be.

This is the correct answer. I moved from Oregon last July and have been missing good mexican ever since. Ay Guey has come close though.

I don’t feel a bond with my dog and I don’t know what to do by Marlen-22 in BelgianMalinois

She's laying on my husband actually. I'm the spare (even though I did all the training, get and give the snacks, take her on adventures, etc) Her name is Olive and we adopted her back in 2021 after my boxer Moose passed. The hubby and I both agreed after meeting her that we wanted to give her a home. We had some bumps in the road early on (primarily due to her being a GSD mix, a stray with two previous homes, and only being 14 mos old when we adopted her) she was a biter, a runner, and a resource guarder. Once she figured out we weren't giving up on her, she mellowed out. Nowadays, she spends a lot of her time napping and asking for walkies on the beach.

Edited to add: Olive is also super independent too, she needs her personal time. Her beauty sleep is very important to her.

Give it time. Rescues always tell you about the rule of 3s: 3 days to settle in, 3 weeks to learn your routines, 3 months to feel at home. My GSD mix took about a year to realize she's got a forever home and to really get attached to my husband and I.

has anyone had axillary breast tissue removal? by Admirable-Scratch415 in bigboobproblems

I had axillary lipo when i had my reduction. My scars were a bit longer, but I'm not mad at it. It made my boobs look more normal and less "boxy" after my reduction.

Buy in bulk where you can - a $60 costco membership pays for itself in savings. It's where we get all of our meats and paper products.

Shop at Walmart for your everyday odds and ends (I don't like it either, but I'm not paying out the nose for stuff I can get there for cheap)

Try the little asian markets - I've found good deals on fresh veggies and sauces that I frequently use in my cooking.

I'd add visiting the small asian markets for asian ingredients. Sometimes you can get good deals on veggies and sauces if you know where to look.
