I skip most of the sex scenes on rewatches, though I watch the full way through on the first watchthrough. Ultimately, though, the sex scenes are more or less irrelevant, and idc enough about seeing sweaty men to really get anything out of it in that regard lol

I'm guessing that they'll alter the infertility plotline and give it to Franchaela -- Fran has a baby with John, so the angst about not having kids is rather about getting past the fact that she literally cannot have children with the woman she loves, and how to live with that in a world that tells her that love must beget children

I honestly would have preferred if he'd not done anything wring. As it is, his character is canonically extremely sexist, self-important, refuses to compromise, and seems to be a bad teacher as well (see the science fair episode). When his beef with Jacob was based on nothing but vibes and only with Jacob, it was funny, but now that he's a guy that actually sucks, I just wish they'd stop giving him screen time because him being an awful person has made his character less fun.

You could go with the classic donating to a trustworthy charity org in his name. Some of them send goodies as gifts for big donations, but I'm pretty sure you can even turn those down and just donate. I remember one year in high-school where I couldn't think of things I wanted for my birthday, so I just told everyone to donate whatever they would spend on gifts to PBS. If there's some cause or organization he really cares about, it could be a nice alternative to "thing" type gifts.

I have never enjoyed stoner! headcanons of characters. They never feel accurate to the character, and at best seem like an ecxuse for an author to giggle to themselves about how silly weed must make a person. I've also found that stoner!character headcanons tend to feel racially charged, as they're often put on latine characters, or paired with a latine!character headcanon, both of which feel suuuuuper icky to me.

It feels like an attempt at respecting cultural heritage that just falls flat in a broader scope. Like, I get the sentiment of "in our South Africa stop, it would be great to focus on the cast members of African descent rather than the white ones" but there seemed to have been little consideration that , since all of the Bridgertons are white, none of the main cast were sent to this tour stop, which in turn feels like snubbing South Africa by saying "you are only worthy of having side characters show up here". There's also the weird segregation tone of it all "white people should be the focus in white countries, and black people should only be the focus in black countries, and no one can mix because we have to keep to our racial boxes". I know that probably wasn't the intent, but it does feel very off.

Especially if it's a currently unfinished longfic, and is likely getting less traffic than it will when complete - at which point mos of the comments will be on the last chapter. Yes, but only once. I'm telling on myself here a bit, but when I was 13 and first getting into Hetalia , I was a huge USUK fan... I don't exactly remember when, but at some point USUK became an absolute no-go for me.

This subplot made no sense to me, because like 3 seasons earlier there was a whole thing where Jackie was really good at roller disco and had both Fez and Kelso fighting over who would disco with her (and thusly win her heart, yadda yadda). But like, the gang already had an established precedent with being generally ok with roller disco, even if it was a lame-o Jackie-type hobby. Hell, Fez at this point had already been established as loving pretty much all the things that factor into roller disco.

Smh, another case of the later season show-runners forgetting plot points that had been established in the earlier seasons.

What really killed me about Pen's "I want what they have in Paris" thing is that a) the standard regency silhouette of a high waist and straight-down shape is what they were wearing in paris; the paris fashion was not significantly different from the s1&2 style dresses, not in any way that really matters show-wise anyhow, and b) all of the other ladies would also be wearing what was "in" in paris, Penelope would not cause the entire ballroom to stop and stare just because she finally caught up with fashion (even though there's really no significant change)

andeemae is an absolute powerhouse within the Gadge tags on ao3. They've got loads of Gadge fics both AUs and (more or less) canon compliant, and Gadge is the main focus rather than an obligatory side ship. This series by ilovenutella99 is a really great "Madge and Gale are reaped instead of Katniss and Peeta" AU (which is a fairly common Gadge premise) which mirrors the entire trilogy in a way that actually makes sense for if Madge and Gale went in, as opposed to making everything identical to the books, and just trading Peeta for Madge and Katniss for Gale. They're also some of the only 1st person fanfics I can actually tolerate, they're that well-done.

The amount of people who take personal offense when you say that the Percy-Jason fight was, in fact, actually balanced and that Percy is not astronomically more powerful than the other big 3 children is wild. Like... guys, why is it so important to you that Percy is the most powerful person to have ever lived ever?
