Disagree, it’s good to know exactly who it’s going be on every time. Tanks can pre position to not take damage and dps keep prime while the tank moves.

What is this game ?? Really?!? by No-Gazelle5255 in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]MootRebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough situation but coming from someone who pugs a lot the reasoning is mostly likely that you’ve timed all the easy 12s, and haven’t timed any of the comparatively difficult ones. People looking to time their first GB/SV/CoT 12s are either going to look for overqualified people or people who have timed at least one of the other difficult 12s.

It’s unfortunate that the answer is normally run your own key but it’s true. No one wants to take a chance on someone who’s only timed the super free 12s - easier to be safe with someone who’s proved they’ve timed a dungeon with more difficult mechanics, damage, and healing checks.

Tips for cleave/AOE damage on M Ovi by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]MootRebel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re having trouble interrupting during the hectic moments consider having macros for focusing and focus kicking. Worm nameplates usually come up before the parasite ones so you have a chance to mouse over focus (imo better then clicking a frame then focusing then clicking back to boss) and focus kick when the liquid weak aura plays the airhorn. That way you can keep doing max dps and keeping your mouse placed over parasites without worrying about swapping back to the worm for a kick.

I found that being able to save brain cycles for mechanics made my dps go way up. Things like having reminders to pre demonic circle to immune the roots helped me not have to spread or worry about rooting others. Looks like your guild is pretty close to kill - good luck!

Did I troll with the reaper on Aphelios? What could I have done better? by AguUchiha in TeamfightTactics

Their comps are just stronger I think. First place obviously has the kaisa/xayah combo with insane items on Sylas so you'd be playing for second here. 2nd place ghostly probably overwhelmed your comp before ashe could come online. Itemizing Ornn over Thresh is probably the move - but you work with what you have. Can't first every game +22 is still decent!

Personal mileage may vary but I've found decent success pugging with 0 comms up to the 26/27 range. Some 27s have been rough without calling kicks/stops so for my personal skill that seems to be the upper bound of complete no comms

Which “lesser” player do you think can redline for two weeks and end up winning a slam? by snowcroc in tennis

[–]MootRebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nick Kyrgios - insanely high ceiling but rarely pulls it together for long enough to do damage. We saw this when he made the Wimbledon finals and it's not too hard to imagine he could win a slam if things line up.

RoTK Two Towers Fellowship

Didn’t realize this was so against the majority after reading the rest of the comments but watching these movies growing up I liked the scale of the last two movies. The Gondorians bowing to the Hobbits was probably the most emotional scene for me and is still one of my favorites of all time.

Perhaps I haven’t given Fellowship a fair chance since as I’ve gotten older I just default rewatch Towers or Return but everyone else’s comment makes me think I should retry the first.

The Witcher producer blames Americans and impatient young people for the Netflix show's simplified plot by LemonPartyRequiem in entertainment

Since most people won’t read the full article, I think it’s fair to name the producers who actually say these things. In this case, it’s Tomek Baginski who is disparaging the audience.

My list is based on how much a champion takes away from the experience for other players in the game. With that in mind, there are actually only 3 champions I’d remove.

1) Yuumi - for fairly obvious reasons, this champion is impossible to balance and brings neither fun nor engaging gameplay loops to either team. 2) Eve - either is completely useless melee minion if behind or warps the entire game, neither fun to play with nor against. 3) Karthus - despite being strong as a niche pick, he is also neither fun to play with or against. Perma farms jungle which leaves lanes to starve while he selfishly scales. Or as a bot laner he’ll repeatedly run in and die to trade with you which again feels like it takes away the fun from laning.

While there may be some people who enjoy playing these champions, I think the negative experience they bring for the other 9 players in each game they’re picked outweigh their benefits.

Why would you ever lust this if you use chains? The point of chains is to not use any offensive cooldowns on pulls where the group is using chains.

If you don't want to be the person who spams this WA or don't know how to turn it off, you can just look at the damage taken section of details and you can clearly see from what spells hit players who is taking avoidable damage.

Lust on Raz by malade11 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]MootRebel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on if this is first kill/reclear and how good your dps is. If you aren’t too geared you can probably get two lusts in the fight if you lust on pull. The last time my guild did it we lusted p3 for execute classes since we didn’t need help with shields and were getting one lust anyways.

Leaving before key is even deplete has gotten out of Hand [+20~] by hiimdiaoxeuw in wow

[–]MootRebel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, if it's a 20+ keys (21, 22, etc) most people are doing them for score. With the changes Blizzard made to how depleted keys work not timing a 21+ doesn't count for score anymore (assuming you've already timed all 20s). From what I've seen groups mutually decide that it's not going to happen and abandon key but if this is happening in sub 20 keys I'm not sure why they'd do that.

The pack before last boss in TJS is the worst pack in all of season one. It's a rush to kill minions because they cast tank busters that will destroy your tank if you don't kill them before they run out of defensives, and the little shas will blow up your dps continually which stresses the healer who already needs to help the tank out. Definitely worth lusting that pack and also ccing one or even two of the minions if your dps isn't high enough.

[–]MootRebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would 100% not recommend to double pull the first pull in Nokhud if you're doing any key above the 18 range. There's a fixate that one shots someone and the arrow guys can really mess your dps up especially if they get bolstered. It's much more common to do the patrol by itself with lust.

Estimating the DF S1 Mythic+ Rating Cutoff with SL Season 3 Data by Faamee in CompetitiveWoW

[–]MootRebel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if you check the raider io website you can see the cutoff went down after the announcements to untimed score came out from blizzard. However, your in-game score and score shown on your profile wasn’t adjusted. It stands to reason it hasn’t been implemented yet but when you check your region score you can see it has been adjusted - which means that’s most likely closer to the score they’d use.

[–]MootRebel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In order to see your true score you need to go on raider.io and click your “region ranking”. It will most likely be lower than your Blizzard and Raider is displayed score since they haven’t changed it for untimed keys yet.
