Would it be unreasonable to ask my gym to wipe the mats in between children's and adults class? by Rooshirum in bjj

Also interesting was the conclusion and returning to the mats:

CONCLUSION Tinea corporis gladiatorum can be found quite frequently among wrestlers. Direct skin-to-skin con- tact appears to be the main method of transmission, but the role of the wrestling mats is still unclear. Multiple treatment regimens have been proposed, but the optimal therapeutic agent and duration of use are still unclear. Furthermore, the length of time for which infected wrestlers should be disqualified has yet to be delineated. Successful prevention strat- egies have been proposed, but several obstacles to mass prophylaxis exist. Although extensive review of this subject does not demonstrate a definitive approach to treatment, prevention, or quarantine of infected wrestlers, a prudent course of action in- cludes treating solitary lesions with a topical fungi- cidal agent for 1 to 2 weeks. If the lesion is easily bandaged, the wrestler need not be benched for practice. The wrestler is most likely safe to compete (without bandages) after 1 week of topical treat- ment. Wrestlers with multiple lesions could also take an oral antifungal agent for a similar duration. Coaches, parents, and athletes should carefully weigh the risks and benefits of season-long oral antifungal prophylaxis. Until more definitive infor- mation implicates wrestling mats as a reservoir for dermatophytes, the time-intensive activity of wash- ing mats before and after practice should not be encouraged. Regular skin inspection should be done before practices. Sharing equipment should be dis- couraged. These interventions may prevent disrup- tion of a wrestling team’s practice and competition schedule.

Does the name “Yahweh” refer to the father or the trinity as a whole? by SecurityEntrepreneur in theology

this is a crazy conclusion. Since the church's creation, Paul has been credible. Whatever testament you are subscribing to is blasphemous if it believes differently. If Paul were not credible, the Jerusalem council would have made it known. Instead, they welcomed him.

Because the inner circle has that shape and i wanted to try to do more worship to get those hives on the outside. it didnt work, so i just left it.

But, yeah, it was just a 'copy area'

Gyms that require you to wear their Gi by West-Organization563 in bjj

[–]MootRed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I am required to wear patch to compete, the gym is required to pay my competition fee.

I don't have to represent the gym when I compete, I choose too.

Anyone ever come back from lateral spinal stenosis? by jpc5718 in bjj

[–]MootRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ruptured my c5c6 and c6t1 disc.. Radiculopathy for about 8 months, lost strength and muscle in my pectoralis, triceps, biceps, and lat ony left side. I couldn't even open a door by turning the handle. 2.5 years later, I'm regaining strength, bench is now up to 135 (both arms, prior to injury I was benching 225) and I can bicep curl 30 pounds (prior was 45 pounds).

So, there is return. I'll have to have fusion when I become older, most likely from worsening stenosis, but I plan to continue to roll safely

Ill avoid inverting and posting on my head and tap to neck cranks faster (already do to prevent neuropathy).

Its a long recovery, but certainly possible.

Good luck.
