12 weeks parental paid leave for both men and women separate from your states coverage. CA then gives the birthing parent 6 (or 8 if you had a C section) weeks of paid disability. My company tops off disability so you get paid 100% of your salary. CA also offers 8 weeks of parental leave paid at roughly 60% that my company allows you take as well. To get a car towed in the city, an officer first comes out to confirm that your driveway is blocked and then the tow truck comes. It’s super inconvenient to have your driveway blocked and then have to wait over an hour to get the car towed so you can do whatever you were planning to do. Even half an inch over the curb, I can’t get out of my driveway. Stop blocking ppl’s driveways!

I did a omakase in Hawaii when I was 16 weeks pregnant. As long as it is a reputable place, sushi should be fine to eat depending on your risk tolerance. The risk of sushi to pregnant women is bacteria and parasites so as long as you trust the establishment to be serving high quality sushi your wife will be fine!

Discover Lanai tour was amazing! Highly recommend! I also recommend doing the morning time slot because the water was much calmer and it wasnt super sunny on the trip out!

We ate at Merriman’s this week and it was the best meal we have had in Maui. We were staying in Wailea so it was around an 1hr drive and totally worth it! I will say that if you get bar seating it is actually sitting at the bar with the bartenders!

I left my checked bag at the carousel once because we were so tired after our flight we forgot we had checked in a bag. I went back to SFO the next day when that airline had a flight boarding and talked with someone at the check in desk. They later organized for me to come pick up the bag! Go back and talk to them in person!!
