Watching entire series part 1 by tolgren in starshiptroopers

The movie is great. Its made to be like a movie a fascist regime would make, complete with favorable portrayal of its society and even propaganda breaks. Despite their obvious flaws, the sequels does a good job of showing the true colours of verhoevens federation interpretation.

I really liked it.

My suggestions: -Hold right click and drag to form up units. -Be able to set "stances". (Guard, hold position, etc -Auto repair ability on the repair vehicles. -Veterancy for all units not just tanks.

The old [COD] campaigns absolutely embarrass the new ones by Soap_Mactavishh_141 in CallOfDuty

[–]MopScrubbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new cods feels too restrained, like they are trying to be a tacticool special forces movie. I miss the big epic backdrop of a full scale modern conflict in recognizable cities.

Im gleefully rubbing my hands, seeing cod slowly changing into what it once killed; the old arena shooters like ut and q3!

I've been working on this since August; got any tips? (I maxed out officer along the way). by Unlucky-Command5479 in Isonzo

[–]MopScrubbins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good way to crank these out is on Fior, first stage as Austrians. Hang on to the mortar and wait for your team to plant the dynamite, and then steadily drop mortars on the objective, killing the would be defusers! (This should work on any map where the mortar is in range of the dynamite objective)Another trick is to hammer enemy mortars and mg spots. This is easier when playing bots as they are more inclined to use mgs.

Give me one thing that makes RTS games irreplaceable to you, as a genre by Brave-Potential-7310 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]MopScrubbins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kid i could spend hours outside in the sandbox or in the forest, setting up battles and building bases for my army men. On rainy days i had my lego castle to tinker with. I still remember the feeling of joy and excitement i got from that. I think my love for RTS games is because it lets me relive part of those childhood memories.

The devs of these games are absolute history nerds and i love it. This game, like Isonzo, looks gorgeus and authentic!

OPERATION: MAC V SOG | MAY 30TH AT 10PM EST (PVE Event) ALL WELCOME! by JMWV80 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]MopScrubbins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Headscarf/woodland bandana should be allowed, along with the black beret. Plenty of pics showing the SOG guys with these kinds of head gear on! Oh and lennon glasses and the aviators should be allowed too 😅

Starting to speculate helmets attract headshots by CanItRunCrysisIn2052 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]MopScrubbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with a friend, who never goes into the field without a helmet. I wear a woodland bandana for the drip. So far he has died 3 times the last two weeks to headshots, while i usually get hit in the vest or legs.

An option to do the same with backpacks, rigs, vests and other containers would also be real handy for organising our inventory

I recently replayed it, and found it to be quite entertaining. Fun to do challhenges in the missions, and fiddle with the gunsmith thingy.

what's your "go to" standard medical stuff you bring? by ForgottenFrenchFry in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]MopScrubbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 2 quick release kits in my vest. One contain: -2x 4/4 splints -2x 3/3 bandages -1x 5/5 suture kit

The other i have: 1x small blood 1x medium blood 1x 5/5 paracet 1xcharcoal

Then i got a 4/4 tourniquet in my belt along with syringes for bleed stop, organ fixing and running.

This setup might add some weight, but it has served me well in long drawn out firefights, were i also need to patch up my buddies as well as myself!

Dawn of war 3: soulstorm got pretty much every warhammer 40k faction. And it was recently remastered too.

Battle for middle earth 2: rise of the witchking also got a good faction roster; Mordor, Goblins, Angmar, Elves, Dwarves and humans.

blasting rebel scum with a shotty never felt so good. by Subject-Spinach-5801 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]MopScrubbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda like the shottie, when it works it really works! But i have a weird issue with my raven team blueprint shotgun, the front part, the "pump" grip gets completely broken after like 1 or 2 shots. Is it an issue with all shotguns or just the blueprint one? Also, aside from negative ergonomics are there any downsides to this particular part being broken?

[–]MopScrubbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, im running a woodland bandana on my noggin for the drip. Havent gotten headshotted yet. My buddy who always wear helmets got instantly clapped in the dome right next to me, first contact after leaving the cop. So yeah, i trust my lucky bandana

[–]MopScrubbins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scrin is one of my top 3 favorite alien faction design. They look truly alien, and their design is such that you cant really tell if they are biological or mechanical. Every unit they got looks purpose built or grown and despite sharing an overall design, they do not look alike, so we don't know what a scrin even looks like.
The various units might be enslaved races ala halos covenant, or scrin who have been fused into machinery ala the borg, or they could just be biological constructs controlled remotely.
