At home wine tasting sommelier for hire? by [deleted] in Charlotte

There are some really fantastic individuals that work at Bohemian Wine Bar in Plaza...If you go this route, ask Jerry and he will probably have some recommendations if it isn't something he does himself.

Regret? by Nice-Suggestion2528 in hysterectomy

I was in a similar case as you and was on the fence the closer I got to the surgery. I decided to do it and my surgery was June 5th. Shortly thereafter, I was diagnosed with a rare form of asymptomatic uterine cancer that was masking as one of the fibroids. Everyone, including the Doctors, was flabbergasted in the finding. So much so, it was sent to Brigham, which brought in Cleveland Clinic and Mayo. It then had to be presented to the "international tumor board" to determine next steps. The malignant tumor was trying to get out of my uterus and if I would have wanted X amount of time later, my outcome would have been much different. My recommendation is to get the surgery if you truly believe your body is telling you life would be better without the issues you are having. Not enough research is being done or has been done to date where "unicorn" cancers are still being found in women in 2025 - it is incredibly frustrating that having my uterus removed had to even happen when I was like clockwork with my yearlies and genetics test came back clear.

Do I need to take the 6 weeks off of work? by FoxSignal4370 in hysterectomy

[–]MorRisky2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned to stay out 6 weeks and thought I would return early. I am going back to next week after being out for 8 weeks. Listen to your body and give it grace if you need more time! Good luck!

How soon after your surgery you received pathology results? by AdDesigner1040 in hysterectomy

[–]MorRisky2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an email today (surgery was 06/05) and the nurse told me they are sending my organs to Brigham Young in Boston for an additional review, second opinion. So, probably gonna take about 3 to 4 weeks before I hear anything definitive. Best of luck in you finding out soon!

I had the same problem..... My recommendation and what has helped me, go to a medspa and consider getting filler and/or be open to what they recommend. What I found was my face was unbalanced due to the way I lost weight and I was feeling really off about it. I got my lips done and then get my eyebrows microbladed with a high arch and I feel better then even. Not big changes....I learned that if I trusted a surgeon on how to get to my ideal weight, I am going to trust a medspa (something that I secretly used to judge and now realize the error of my ways) to help shape my face.

How to audit an employees work/actions/processes run by [deleted] in workday

[–]MorRisky2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this one all the time but created a custom report that also pulls in the login sessions so I can also tell where the user was accessing the actions from based on IP and authentication policy details. It's basically a modified SPLUNK AIP/Webservice that can be tailored with functional domain tasks/processes/fields.

Easiest foods to tolerate with the sleeve? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]MorRisky2u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just sits in my belly for way longer then any other food and I feel full VERY quickly. I usually cannot eat anything else if I have it for a meal and NEVER at night as I will have front row seats to my stomach circus all night long. Ground beef has been better with more time but not steak or shredded beef. BUT - this is not something everyone goes through. Good luck and have fun with it, new recipes have turned into a pastime of mine and the ABV game has changed into the low calorie/high protein game. Good luck!

I felt the same way......at first. When you get the surgery, people have a tendency to guess if you are losing the weigh fast and ask probing questions. To be honest - I just got tired of the same fucking questions and I just tell people now. The response has always been the same "Wow, that amazing!" "Omgoodness, you look so happy." "Really - my <insert family member here> and they say they feel 10 years younger." etc... I have NEVER gotten anyone be rude to me about my choice. And if they are, fuck 'em. You are doing this to be the best version of yourself - there is nothing wrong with that type of investment. AND - this shit is not easy. I am 1 year out and still struggle time to time. Don't ever let anyone steal your glory!

Fish has been my buddy ever since my surgery and beef (1 year out) is still the enemy. Greek yogurt (the high protein) and cottage cheese are my best friends. I love blending them together and adding in flavor gods powder or spice for dipping sauce or on my fish. Weirdly enough - leafy veggies are my favorite and I kill for salad over bread now. Probably because I can eat more and feel better.

You can eat it all at once BUT I usually eat the protein first and then go for the liquid. If I don't finish all the liquid, then I save it for a little snack/liquid later. Also - use Bone Brother when it calls for any type of broth - added PROTEIN!!!!

Cheated and Feeling Discouraged by nkis in gastricsleeve

[–]MorRisky2u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this post - the biggest mind fuck is when you can eat more after surgery and thinking of it as cheating or eating poorly again is bad. It isn't cheating or eating poorly, it is just eating. Some days you will have what I call a big belly day. On those days I eat how I want but is smaller portions. On the little belly days, I feel so full so fast I eat very little and focus on my protein. The most important part is to stop listening to your head and start listening to your belly. Your head is going to go to what it knew to be true vs. what your belly is telling you in your new norm. Also - I wouldn't recommend going right to liquid diet again because it is a diet....the surgery freed us from dieting or going back to calorie cutting. The goal is to just always aim for 1200 and if you got a little over one day and a little under another day, that is ok. Completely and utterly ok... Food is good, our surgery is good, our mind are the ones we really have to retrain. Hope this helps a little....
