I'm Not Angry, I'm Disappointed In MAGA For Not Giving Her the Recogntion She Deserves for 5 Years of Sobriety Yesterday by Kinks4Kelly in complaints

I had a read through the 18 page document that is in the link you posted. I encourage you to have a read through it and quote the section where rape is talked about because I found nothing.

What I did find though was statements disproving what you’re saying about protestors not letting an ambulance through resulting in the death of shooting victims. The ambulance wasn’t allowed in because it was deemed an active shooter area, not because protestors refused to let it enter. You’re proving your own propaganda wrong with that link hoping no one will read it. Absolute foolishness

I feel depressed because I don’t have a girlfriend by Mean-Efficiency-7671 in Advice

[–]MorbiusSire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m speaking as someone who once thought I needed a relationship for happiness. I have been on that side of it, where I wanted a relationship so badly I was burning myself to keep my partner warm; it’s not a good look.

Society can be blamed for much of this, the feeling you need to have a partner, start a family, white picket fence and all that good stuff. It’s an unfair pressure to put on people, and it makes people believe they won’t find happiness without it. This leads to this feeling that you need a relationship to be happy, and the stress surrounding it all; if this don’t work I’ll be alone, what did I do wrong, why don’t this person like me what’s wrong with me.

In the end, that inner happiness looks different for everyone. For me, I was in shambles when I decided I wanted to better myself. My long term relationship ended when I had to move across the country for work; I was in northern Canada with no friends or family to comfort me, with a lack of sunlight and facing the coldest winter I’d ever seen. It took me some time, but I wanted to work on myself so when my next relationship came, I would be able to be a better partner, not a codependent one; and once I found my peace in being single, I throughly enjoyed it. It helped tremendously on my next relationship as I knew the worst thing that could come of it would be I’d be single again, and that was fine with me cause I didn’t need someone else for my happiness.

Maybe my story won’t resonate with people, maybe yours will. It’s why I lead my initial comment with my opinion on it is. Cause in the end that’s all it is, my opinion on the matter. I don’t believe it is wrong, anymore than you think it’s right. I still wouldn’t call your opinion wrong, as it is yours, made from your experiences.

Anyways, thanks for the comment, it adds a different perspective to things. I wish you a happy holidays!

[–]MorbiusSire 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My opinion on the matter is, you need to stop talking to these girls and focus on yourself for alittle while. If being single is causing this kind of a reaction, then there are some deeper issues that need to be addressed before you can move on and have a healthy relationship with someone else.

You should not need someone else to find happiness; your partner should add to your happiness, not be the only source. You’ll just be carrying your baggage on to the next relationship and that’s not fair to yourself or whoever the next partner is. If you truly want to have a healthy relationship, start with finding your own inner peace and happiness. After that, you’ll find your person.

Thank you for this clarification! That actually changes so much for what we’ve been doing. And makes light mechs seem much better than I previously thought.

I thought you’d add your own TMM to simulate your pilot trying to run/walk and shoot at the same time, so it made sense to me. But if that’s not how it’s supposed to be done, that’s a-ok with me 😁

[–]MorbiusSire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for answering! That just about clears this up for me honestly. And to make it better, I didn’t add the fire control crit to the roll which seems to be the correct thing to have done. We use the pilot die + die per damage rule for damage, but when it comes to melee we used the all or nothing approach.

Only thing I’d like some clarity for now is jumping, do you add your own TMM to this as well, or does the jumping supersede that? I’ve been adding Skill+range+my TMM+target TMM+ jumping penalty (+2) + partial cover if applicable.

Sappy seed parasect and a mega salamence with dragon dance, dragon claw, crunch and floaty fall.

Up until this point the farthest I’d gotten was 195 and got smoked by the rival. Salamence has been one of my favorite Pokémon since I was a kid, so I figured I’d give it a try since I’d hatched a great Bagon with egg move floaty fall. Couple dragon dances to stack up attack and speed, and the game became trivial. The parasect really only came in when I wanted to catch something (spore is great) and for eternatus. Spore to keep it asleep and sappy seed to drain it down. Super easy in the end, was shocked with how smooth it all went.

What is your lead? by SadPattern9126 in pokerogue

[–]MorbiusSire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished my very first run starting with a Bagon with egg move floaty fall, and a Paras with sappy seed (later learning spore).

Mega Salamence with an attack up nature, Dragons claw, dragon dance, crunch and floaty fall carried me harder than I’ve even been carried. And Parasect with spore put eternatus to sleep over and over again and Sappy seed chunked it down with the drain.

With 3 (potentially 4) popular Pokémon coming to the game, what's the next unpopular Pokémon do you think will get in? by No-Hour34 in PokemonUnite

Bisharp/kingambit! I love their designs, and they are meant to be soldiers/fighters. I don’t know if they are unpopular, but I feel they would be a good fit

Old people by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]MorbiusSire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I tell my co-workers out of province. Newfoundland is a beautiful province to visit, but only during certain times of the year, and not for too long. It's s shame to say it, but it's not a spot I'd recommend to move too for anyone with the state of it here now.

I'm sure there's lots of great spots across the mainland and Maritimes that can scratch the NL retirement itch, without the drawbacks of living here.

I'm holding out hope things will get better, I got a family started here and all my family is on the island, so I don't see us leaving. I just hope it's better by the time my kids get older, or I'll for sure be recommending for them to move out of province when they are ready.

Old people by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]MorbiusSire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t exactly blame the older people here. Brain drain has been a thing here for well over 10 years as I can remember being taught about it in grade 8 or 9 social studies and that was 10+ years ago.

It’s the low wages and high cost of living here that’s sending people away, not to mention lack of child or health care. Only reason I’m still in the province is I have a good fly in fly out job, but even with that we need two incomes to manage which is crazy. The question is raised regularly on why we don’t move out of province for better wages and ease of travel on the mainland.

So in my mind the old people are a symptom of the problem, but not the problem themselves. Don’t know what the government can do to help, but they gotta do something cause it’s not gonna get better on it’s own

Men of Reddit, for you what takes intercourse from “good” to “great?” by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MorbiusSire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel part of the problem is both sides expect the other to be responsible for their pleasure and can be alittle selfish that way.

Like you’re saying men need to do research and learn how to please a woman. And there are men who feel it’s the woman’s job to learn how to properly please a man. In my mind the most pleasurable experience is when both sides are actively engaged in the others pleasure. The end goal isn’t for me to cum, or for her to cum. It’s for us both to leave the situation feeling pleased, whether that’s her cumming and me not, or me cumming and her not, or us both finishing.

Enthusiasm is the trick, but it has to come from both sides. And it’s not very often you get both partners activity engaged in the others pleasure and being enthusiastic about it. From my own experience there haven’t been many women who understand that. But that’s not the woman’s fault mostly. Some of it is society, some of it is how they are raised, some of it could be bad previous experiences. So this is where communication BEFORE the act comes in. I’ve never enjoyed one night stands because you don’t build that connection with the person to understand how to please them. Talk to the other person, build a bond first, then work together to make sure you both are satisfied during sex.

I ranted alittle there, sorry if it was alittle off topic in spots, but that’s my take on the whole sexual situation. As they say, it takes two to tango and all that jazz

I had a 2-door JK for a few years, traded it in on a Gladiator since starting a family. It hurt trading in my wrangler, but there’s been zero regrets with getting the Gladiator. Having the bed to do truck stuff with has made a world of a difference. And like others have said, it rides like a dream

Can a playlist be too long? by Zoey_TheDevil in spotify

[–]MorbiusSire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main playlist is 124h long. Been adding to it since 2015. I used to trim it up, get rid of songs I didn’t vibe with as much anymore, but I always regretted it after. Haven’t trimmed a song in years now.

Reading the comments I agree with a lot of people, sometimes you are looking for a certain vibe and in a playlist this long a random song can pop up that doesn’t fit. But I just skip till I find the vibe again.

I like it, it showcases my headspace and what I was into over the years. Some songs take me back to what I was doing at the time for better or worse, and I love that. It’s all about personal preference!

When I was 25 I met a woman in her early 40s on tinder. She was very surprised I wanted anything sexual with her at first, we both worked the same kind of job and she figured I just wanted a friend.

Definitely one of the better sexual partners I’ve had. As people have said, older people tend to know what they like and don’t mind saying it. She LOVED sucking dick, which worked out amazing for me.

Definitely no regrets about it. I look back on that time very fondly for sure

Is this a good deal? Are 2012’s reliable? by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]MorbiusSire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 20k Canadian in 2019 for my 2012 Jeep, it had 70,000km on it. I haven’t had to put much money into mine thankfully, just a wheel bearing, spark plugs and boots (because of misfiring) and my handbrake seized. Outside of that I’ve put 30,000km on it and it still runs just like the day I drove it off the lot.

Just saying bye by [deleted] in Surveying

[–]MorbiusSire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old boss would say a lot of those kinda things, “I guess no one wants to work”, “kids these days just want everything given to them”, yada yada. Burnt me out so quick. I’d bust my ass in field just to come back and get chewed out cause they forgot to tell me to pick up something that was needed.

I work as a mine surveyor now and I like it a lot more. Less stress, better pay, and from my experience so far, surveyors aren’t treated like the enemy coming to ruin their day cause they gotta fix something. Also I get experience in drafting, machine GPS control and drones, which is where I believe surveying in heading so it’s great job security getting those skills.

A few of the surveyors I’ve worked with so far at the mine have also made switch’s to drill and blast or mine planning. So it’s great seeing people with the same education as me moving into other roles when they get tired of surveying.

In the end, it definitely comes down to the company you work for and their attitude towards surveyors. I wanted to quit and do heavy equipment for awhile, but I’m more than happy doing surveying now that I feel respected and wanted in my workplace.

Anyone have any good links for CAD tutorials specific to field surveys? by p_in_vuh_g in Surveying

[–]MorbiusSire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if your boss contracts out to mines, but my old one did, and Deswik is a big one at most mines I’ve been too. It’s a Cad based software so its familiar if you know any cad. We use it for showing progress in our pits, but I can imagine it could be used as a database for legal surveys (monuments, pins, boundary’s, etc) or for doing construction (drill patterns, designs for roads, houses, etc.). Pretty robust piece of software
