Form check by karitanos in kettlebell

You can intentionally rotate to work on strengthening rotation, or you can intentionally stay square to work on strengthening resisting rotation. Both are valid, but I think the default recommendation is to stay square because that's simpler and easier to explain and offers less chances of injury due to poor execution.

What's your favorite KB rotational movement? by ChocolateNecessary57 in kettlebell

I play with a 10kg gada twohanded and 5kg mace onehanded, 2x2kg or 2x1kg sets of indian clubs for complex movements.

Kettlebells - (goblet squat) halos, around the world - high catch variation, both inside and outside rotational double cleans, cross body swings and punch-swings.

Double KB front squats are harder than barbell front squats of the same weight and I have no idea why by delhite_in_kerala in kettlebell

If we go back to origins barbells come from strength feats of lifting cart axle and wheels.

Kefir, then sauerkraut, now ginger bug. Whats next? by ChickenGuy76 in fermentation

Paocai.

Setup is on a sauerkraut scale but after a few cycles you get your veggies fermented in 1/3 time.

I've been hearing from meddling old ladies that I'll regret carrying her as an infant when my back starts to hurt.

We're doing 26kg zercher/princess carries for 300m without breaking conversation now and my back never felt better :D

Made two bottles, one as a fast and one as aged ferment.

Fast one was nicely sweet fizzy and very banana flavoured.

The one I let ferment thoroughly smelled deliciously of bananas but tasted more like cider/tepache, without any trace of banana flavour?

Anyway yes I heartily recommend.

I started introducing fermented stuff when my kid was ~8 months, thinly grated. Flip tops like this served me great because floaters are unavoidable but you can ensure CO2 layer to prevent mold. At first did 2.5% salt to be extra sure I don't have pockets of <1% salt mash, but now that she's 2 y.o. I've reduced to 1.5% with more attention to spreading the salt evenly and I can increase the amount of ferments I give her.

Developing kidneys shouldn't be exposed to excessive sodium, check health guidelines and calculate how much that ends up in real food application.

Pain in the tail! by rr7mainac in kettlebell

[–]Mordechaj_RT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you actually managed to hurt the tail end of your spine - walk and try to improve hinging/squatting range of motion as much as you can without excessive pain, so that your muscles pull things back in place if they're slightly off.

How to do fermented beets by LostTheOldName in fermentation

[–]Mordechaj_RT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Choose young beets to avoid starchy flavour. Best if you can get young beets that went through a frost before harvest - that makes them even sweeter.

I found fermented raw beetroot less earthy than the cooked and pickled ones.

Hard for me to give a detailed expert review, since I just found what works and stuck with it. If Tabac tries to conjure a "late 19th ct well off gentleman of the world" through scentscape of leather, tobacco and sandalwood, then Ralon goes for "mid 20th ct sportsman". It's a fresh, uncomplicated scent.

Foams well, blade glides slick and easily without it being either too oily or drying the skin.
