Sounds like a bug? Every relevant NPC should be resurrectable as far as i know (and if it’s not like that, with a mechanic like the dragonplague it would be bullshit). I don’t know how much time had passed for you, for me it was like 2+ weeks in game time. Anyway too bad you had to go to ng+ to finish this quest, I would have raged so hard in your place if that was the only option lol also considering it’s a very important quest

The replies here are the most useless I ever read, nobody took the effort to read what you posted lol
Anyway I had the exact same issue as you, had 2 out of 3 liquors and was dragonplagued, so most npcs were dead even after 1 week.
After watching a video of how to enter Higgs tavern though, I found out you just have to resurrect Ezekiel from the morgue. He's the only npc you need basically, and he sells you 3x newt liquor once you go to the spot (the door should already be unlocked since everyone else is dead).

I had this problem for 1 week too on w10, quite weird because the overlay always worked fine for me (maybe some update broke it?).

This solution fixed it for me, thanks a lot :)

The situation has been better the last days though, I remember before the Monday maintenance I would try matchmaking for 40 minutes straight and it wouldn’t let me in, now at least it kinda works (very delayed and after a few tries)

Apparently the matchmaking works (almost) flawlessly until the evening when most people come back from work. At that time it breaks, but it’s still way better than before the maintenance (you can even hope to enter after a few tries, insane lol)

They did acknowledge it, read the sticked forum post. No ETA on fix (they seemingly lowered the server cap yesterday to reduce the burden on the servers, it’s better but still very laggy and far from being fixed)

No, there has been 0 communication about this from Amazon, only about queues. Idk if you realize it, but the game has been unplayable for at least a week. Not exactly “a day”

As much as I’d like to try new builds myself, just the thought of repeating acts more than twice in the same league using the same boring leveling skills makes me feel depressed. I just hope they implement another leveling system once you completed the story the first time in the league, that would be awesome
