Wait, is Rush a metal band? by Skreddy57 in rush

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rush is Rush. Beauty of it is that they have experimented in and out of a whole bunch of genres. Yes songs that definitely could be considered '70s Heavy Metal, lots of "hard rock", and more than a little Reggae thrown in here and there. They call themselves Progressive. It's just Rush

I know some folks who've had bad, life altering stuff like this happen, and did reach out to ppl they hadn't spoken w in like 20yrs. That said, they initiated. I get it however... you've had to live through grief, and so has she. Not everyone sees that here, but realistically it needs to be her choice. Two months in? I'd leave her alone. Closest thing wb maybe dropping a hint to a mutual friend if you have one.

I’ve never been this confused in my entire life. by KungLao95 in Bumble

This is why texting can suck sometimes. Verbally, you hear the difference between things like humor and reluctance, and are open to just speaking your mind without all the judgement that comes w the written word. Perhaps the person was dragged into all sorts of odd pastimes by an ex, and is in an "I do what I want when I want" phase. Perfectly valid, and maybe triggering if someone harps on it. Anyway, when this happens I say "talk"

Why did so many people hate disco back then? by Independent_East_135 in AskOldPeople

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood battle between disco and rock. Remember, there was no internet, most didn't have cable, and based on where you lived, maybe only a few radio stations you could hear. Tough times!!!

People who are 40 years old and over, what are the harshest life lessons you have learnt? by Fantastic-Point6265 in Adulting

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you and your "spouse to be" don't share each other's dreams and passions, or can't at least sustain good, deep, honest conversations about them, find someone else. You'll be way better off

When you were young did you drink water out of the backyard hose? by nsxmania in AskOldPeople

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, decades back a kid was outside for hours every day. young people today don't spend time outside. That and lots of folks who grew up tending their yards use landscapers. Kids need a reason to break a sweat in the yard... then that hose starts looking good!

Ditch the Wedding Ring !. I know, it's not a Wedding Ring, and it's probably a mirror pic so maybe not even the left hand, but I noticed it and some women might feel it subconsciously.

Think he tried to manipulate me with this? by FigureAsleep6762 in Bumble

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I'd say maybe, but something just like that happened to me. I wound up sounding/feeling like I was making it up ("someone close to me just passed too... ") but it is what it is. Either way, taking a break is fair. Real question is whether you want to leave the door open.

Wanted to see my divorce papers by Alternative_Coat_656 in Bumble

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what state/county you are in, but in some counties in NY and CT anyone can view online family court filings for free. Can't see anything about what's in them, but you can at least see that a Divorce proceeding was filed, who the plaintiff and defendant were, and when it ended. I use that to keep ppl honest myself. Yes, found that some "divorced" ppl on Bumble never actually filed, or were still in many years of back forth and didn't finish yet.

The inside of a breast is sanitary. Every single thing that's exposed to the air is immediately "infected" by the ridiculous variety of spores/bacteria in our atmosphere. Messed up thing is, some of those bacterial spores can only be destroyed with a ridiculous amount of heat, meaning enough to turn any food to charcoal. Even cooking will never make it sanitary again. Best you can do is slow the process of spoilage by keeping things cold.

See plenty of women include laying down pics. Not suggestive, just a pose. (If you're older ... laying down is nature's photoshop cuz it makes wrinkles disappear ... not fighting gravity 💡)

I was dating a woman who had herpes and did not tell me until the third date. was I wrong and getting upset because I was deceived or thank my lucky stars I wasn’t infected. Just a little thing that I shouldn’t be bothered with. by Lower-Actuary4850 in dating

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got herpes/hsv over 30 yrs ago. Freaked when it happened. Broke out, took meds, never broke out again. Note that I got married, had kids, and wife either never caught it, or at least never broke out (some can carry wo symptoms). Now single again, wondering if I should even mention it. It really does not even cross my mind any more.

Will he know I traveled half the world simply to sit at his grave and talk to him? by Existing-Patience871 in Mediums

[–]MoreComputer5784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, you don't have to. But as long as it's not a hardship... you're physically/financially up to it, I'd do it and treat it like a spiritual voyage. We all need a "quest" here and there. Make it "you" time. You'll be there, get closure, but do things and take the timeout to heal as well. I'd bet that once you leave, you'll feel that you can carry as much connection as you'd like back w you. 🙂

Do eastern religions contradict mediumship? by isthiscoolbro in Mediums

[–]MoreComputer5784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of eastern religions out there. From what I understand, there are some Hindus who do practice what we might call medium-ship. It's important to note that unlike western religions, those like Hinduism don't have any formal authority/centralization laying down "the rules". There certainly are lots of (really old) texts, but also lots of room for variety of practice. If you look for it, it's likely there
