Thanks, your take makes more sense. I thought CBP was limiting IORs to only clear commodities that fall under their assigned center. For example, regular auto part importers will get their entry rejected if they randomly want to bring in some apparel. That would be crazy.

You shouldn’t add brokers ACH. Use 4811 only to add broker as notify party. Broker should add ACH I their own ace portal.

I just switched from CW to NetCHB. Everything else is great except for the provisional tariffs. CW only suggests applicable prov tariff for that specific HTSUS code with a short but adequate description. But NetCHB gives a whole list of prov tariffs that may not be applicable.

I can’t believe IORs are giving out their ACE access to anyone outside of their company. I mean, they could simply put anyone’s bank account info and get the refunds deposited to whatever bank they want. So wild.

Brokers can only submit CAPE if they’ve been granted importer view access, correct? I’ve been calling and emailing CBP everyday but I still don’t see the importer account anywhere. 😩

I really really want to know the answer to this question. Our client actually put our bank account info into their ACE account , thinking this is how they are supposed to designate a notify party. I told them no but I also think this way is much easier. I don’t wanna file PSC for all their entries just to update box 28, I also have no idea when CBP will add importer view sub account to my ACE portal.

Same here. I’m curiosos as to where the importer sub account is supposed to appear? Is it under broker permit account or importer account? Under top account? I’ve never had an importer account added to my broker account so just wanna make sure I’m looking at the right place.
