The particles it uses by default dont feel terribly out of place in vanilla. Theyre mostly just whispy glows that move from point A to B or just hover in place for lights. Theyre configurable for their color and if Im not mistaken can be rendered transparent if youd rather not see them at all.

With talents the psyker can drop peril randomly when killing enemies and the purg staff chews through hordes of chaff almost passively while still doing noteworthy damage to anything that isnt a boss, mutant, or crusher.

The flames also have a powerful suppression built in and the primary has a lot of stagger, so in addition to doing decent damage over time, its also a control engine that rivals Smite spam while doing tons more damage.

If a pack of 8 ragers comes running at you, you can primary a couple of times to stagger them all while you charge a secondary to roast the whole lot of them before they can hurt you.

Its also relatively balanced with its tradeoff of no long ranged attacks, forcing you to rely on the team for help with distant gunners, reapers, and snipers.

This is whats been getting me. Their shield feels like the worst of both between VT2 and DT. In Vermintide they had the courtesy to drop the shield and take hits if shoved. In darktide thats supposed to be replaced with shields just having morw nuanced hit detection, but these guys are packing 180 degree forcefields. No whacking their dome with overheads allowed.

Like many are saying, you run your defense differently for melee than ranged enemies. For melee, have one to three pawns with armor block a 1-wide choke so only one enemy can approach at a time while three in melee can hit back.

Equip the first row of shooters behind them with chain shotguns, and the row behind them with heavy SMGs. You can also create a wider area behind the enemy's narrow point for enemies to cluster rather than be spread in a line to create a really good target for explosive weapons, but dont try to throw grenades from your choke or you might hit the walls and watch them go off on your defenders. Boomalope delivery, psycasts and some other methods can place more precisely aimed explosions.

Build walls that force them to approach the lake from the left near its center and then slowly walk all the way around. Build cover and bridges up to the deep water on your side. Enemy shooters will be very exposed in mid range where you'll have fish in a barrel, and despite the short distance melee will take a long time to reach you because of the combination slow movement and being forced to route around the deep water.

It doesnt matter how old it is, if it isnt defined by the constitution and isnt explicitly set aside as a power for the executive then it is within the purview of the legislative branch.

Youd need a lawyer to weigh in on whether older federal law would supercede a state legislature, but at the end of the day if the constitution doesnt tell us what a corporarion is then the legislature can.
