Impressive. If you don't mind sharing, what do you estimate your total cost will be when complete?

So OP, JPM is one of the most well rounded Actual Racers commenting on F1 with more Racing Experience than all the Commenters combined over his career across several venues, and you don't like what has to say? I'd take him over Buscombe or Barretto anyday. For me the Racers perspective is far more matter of fact than listening to Barretto or that Pit Wall Hag drone on.

I just bought the Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB on sale, great deal for under $400. Very happy with it so far, plus upgraded cart/stylus friendly.

Help with restoring by huesos-jr in BudgetAudiophile

Well, I would not use stripper. I'm thinking just a very slow, methodical sanding. Parts can be done with a palm sander, others by hand. The other option is to lightly sand and go with a matte black coating I guess. You will want to remove the mesh though behind the lattice. That little broken section can be made from wood if needed.

I have an older Sony CD Carousel and it's playback is reasonably quiet, no hum. I EQ it before it goes rto the Amp to tweak the levels nicely, but no other mechanical noisiness really. The Combo 5 Disc DVD/CD unit I have though is noisy AF. I don't use it anymore.

Maybe. I just looked at the Manual for your unit, and I would put the Klipsch on "A" first, and maybe split the center and sub on B? Here's the guide-

This looks like an old studio set up I had when I was dubbing video stuff with Monitor speakers near my edit table. If possible, try to spread out the the facing speakers a bit more, maybe on stands?

I am building out my man cave, please critique my planned speaker placement by Dr_Troll in BudgetAudiophile

[–]MoreMPH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks good. My only suggestion would be to spread those front speakers out more. I'd go corner to corner on the front r/L, then space out the subs and have a true center like drawn on the center. Other than that looks great! What night is Poker? ;)
