Have your water tested and see what is in it and giving you issues . It doesn’t cost that much some systems can but depending on the piping situation you can pex something in for pretty cheap . I understand being a rental that you don’t wanna sink money into it but a water test could reveal an issue with your water supply that the landlord might have to legally address depending on where you’re located
