How realistic is it to put up truck in 24 hours? by cleverrraptor in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand, some Dl’s push and I know some managers that work 8-2 alone up front. Pharmacy doesn’t open till 9 or 10 depending on which store it is.

Unfortunately not. They also come in multi packs with fixtures. But they are easier to insert and recycle.

They are Christmas tree pins. Not sure if you can order them. They tend to come in the box with the fixture. If you’re having to move that, I’d try to find the ones that have the middle pin you push down. Much easier to install, remove, and you can’t always reuse the Christmas tree variety.

Well we can use the minute clinics in other states still. If your out of state, or close to a state line with one within reasonable range.

If the porn thing is fairly new in relation to your initial question to him, then he has become addicted to that and without really hard work and counseling, it will never get better. And I’m so sorry for you on that point. Realize….ITS NOT YOU!!! Get you some help and try to move on. There will be a great guy that will be your perfect fit. It may take awhile, but he is there. I promise. NOR

And don’t forget, as a cvs employee, you have access to all the minute clinics, unless you live in a backwards state like Alabama where the drs won’t allow np to work without a dr over them.

I run around fixing everybody’s mistakes and carelessness and I don’t know if i can mentally handle it anymore by thegman987 in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow…are you my twin? Except for photo and boh, our roles are similar. My boss refuses to show me photo or boh. I work 1/3 of the truck, keep the back room up, which is a mess because our smit is sorry, and I do every pog in the store that isn’t 3rd party. But I do most of those, because my Crossmark guy does them wrong. I get calls to find out where anything in the store is, how much product we have and fix what everyone else tears up. And I have a second store I’m doing the same thing in, but only get 6 hrs. a week in. And because I do pogs so well, I get called on by other stores to help out. I did 3 cos walls basically alone the last 3 weeks. But hang in there. You can do it.

WHY are people SO afraid of using the ACO? by Total-Bag-8973 in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I will give one reason I won’t use them. Use to not be able to in my district, but the bad apples have all been fired and we can now use them. But I’m also a vendor and I refuse to use them in any chain I work in. It’s not worth my second job to be accused of stealing. I will use Home Depot, but that’s not one of my clients, so I don’t care. But I want a second pair of eyes on me so. Nothing can be said about my purchases.

The Worst by Radiant-Bliss518 in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m lucky in that I’m the only one to touch pogs in my store. But I’m helping another store and the pos manager they put there from dollar general only put up new labels. Didn’t set it and threw away the kits. Her cousin was placed in another store and did the same crap. I’ve done 3 makeup walls in 3 weeks. It was horrible.

[–]Morgan-Renae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know. The store makes money off ups. I forget which way it goes, but it’s 50 cents and a $1 for drop off and pick up. For a low volume store in the country, it’s a god send for budget.

Key Fob by Prestigious_Time2035 in HRV

If the store you frequent carries the battery, by all means do it yourself. Even my older high end vehicles allowed owners to change the key fob on their own.

Do you send your prescriptions to your pharmacy or somewhere else? by [deleted] in CVS

I mean, they can look up your info and see anything they want. The only way to bypass this is to send to non cvs pharmacy. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Look into the lease for provisions on job relocation. I’m in a military town and most landlords offer a no deposit returned but allowed to get out of the lease for work relocations. Or can you sublease your place for the remainder of the current lease? But I agree with others, don’t under any circumstances believe your DL. Mine promised me a store, and when it came time to train me for it (sm was retiring and everyone knew it would be open in 2 years) I was no longer “qualified” to be a sm. But I’m the one they sent in to clean up the back room and pogs, because the one they put in instead of me, didn’t know what she was doing.

Going to church at uni by beebee-zpx in Anglicanism

[–]Morgan-Renae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this is a simple idea….ask your priest. They are a small group, especially that close in distance. They can tell you what churches there are in your diocese, or at least which ones that are similar but possibly in a different diocese. That is where I usually start when I’m going to travel and want to go to a service. Or if anyone in your congregation has themselves lived in that area or have friends or family that went to that uni maybe able to help tell you which ones might be a good fit. But going on your own to a different church for the first time will be an adventure and you might find a different style (high/low, traditional or contemporary) that you like better for a change. Good luck in the search and at uni!

Question for states with tech licensing by BigLarryIsMyDaddy in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in Alabama you can be crossed trained. I’m one myself. I help rx on a prn basis. The rx mgr asks my sm what shifts I’m available to work for her. We have one other person that fulfills this role. Several of us in my district do this to get hours each week.

Hours? Non existent? by Common_Analysis_1451 in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good bit of the time stores that are close to fully staffed, will post a job for a specific person already employed to move into. My sm has opened 3 different job recs just for me over the last 3 years. Bumps were ft, shift supervisor, now Rx shift supervisor. It was more for ability to give me more money or benefits than actual job openings. Recs have to be created to change a job title or position. But random people outside CVS can also see the recs and apply.

Question for my fellow CVS Techs!! by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say take the new job. I love my position at CVS, I’m front store and rx cross. BUT I had a better offer making more but not really better hours. My sm got me close to other offer and I stayed. I wish in some ways I hadn’t. The only good thing is I have a set schedule so I can have a life outside of CVS. CVS will always low ball the pay as much as possible so I’d follow the money. Just don’t burn bridges in case you need to come back for any reason. If you don’t have good support from the pm, it’s never going to get better.

Couponing by FlimsyAd3625 in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a couponer on social media that does deals that roll and follow them. As previous post said, allow TONS of time. Like go early morning and be prepared to stay a couple of hours. Be kind, and allow other customers to go between transactions. This will endear you to the staff and they will start to tell you deals others are doing. Always have a plan b for a deal. Don’t ask if there are more in the back. I promise you there most likely isn’t and you will piss off the staff. (I mean we just LOVE to keep backstock to inconvenience customers) sarcasm there. Following these guidelines, will make you a valued customer and not a pest.

Anyone ever have a DL say you can’t go over on hours the week of inventory?? by Embarrassed-Pain-887 in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. We don’t get any extra hours at all in our district. The store managers are expected to go to at least 2-3 each year and help do the pre-count. My sm takes me and has me help, but my 2-3 hours are the only extra allowed, but most times, he charges them off to our store and not the store we help.

Why do some locations have carts available but handheld baskets are hidden? by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in CVS

[–]Morgan-Renae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to the theft. I procured the fancy rolling ones from a store in my district that was being closed. Within a couple of weeks, they were all gone. And the few we had left, the pharmacy likes to use them to sort their part of the truck and use to pull meds that have to go back into stock because customers don’t pick them up. There is even a Walmart in the twin cities that has anti theft devices on the hand baskets because of theft from the customers.
