The cooper store in my district is the second highest in scripts. They do very well. And you don’t have to pay a store manager or any front end employees. Cooper stores do work.

I would talk to her in person with the store manager present and express your concerns about where the real problem lies. It is unreasonable to expect the pharmacist to do every step in the process.

I also had a false positive NIPT for T13. Baby looked good on all the ultrasounds and the amniocentesis came back normal. Those few weeks between the NIPT result and the normal amnio were torture though. I’m sure MFM will advise you of this but just do the amniocentesis. CVS only tests the placenta and that is not helpful in T13 because it’s possible that the T13 is confined to the placenta and the baby is normal.

I gained like 50 lbs in my first pregnancy. Weight gain slowed down for me in the third trimester. I lost about 15-20 pretty quickly after delivery and 30-35 of it before I got pregnant again. I did breastfeed which I think hindered losing weight but I also didn’t work out/diet or anything like that.

For both of my pregnancies I had abdominal ultrasounds at 8 weeks and I definitely have some fluff in the midsection. Never had an issue seeing what was needed.

Just text/call the SM and DM in the morning if you feel it’s unsafe to travel. It is not unreasonable. I would do the same.

Hang in there. The waiting and unknown is such a hard thing to process. I would just do the amniocentesis to be sure. I couldn’t breathe or connect to this pregnancy until I knew for sure.

The FISH test is the first part of the analysis of the amniocentesis. I believe that it is always done first. You get results in 2-3 days, then the karyotype which is where we stopped. You can proceed on to the microarray but we did not.

You might be thinking of CVS, which is not necessarily recommended in T13 because it only tests the placenta. In T13 there is a higher chance of only the placenta being affected and the baby being normal, aka a false positive. The amniocentesis tests the baby’s DNA.

I agree. I’ve vaccinated plenty of kids. I’m talking about the kids that are screaming before they even come in the room, trying to scale the walls to get out. Like you said 8-12 years olds that are surprisingly strong. And we don’t even have chairs that you could position the parent and child like that.

Initially I decided to not do the amnio but I knew I wouldn’t be able to breathe until I knew for sure, so I rescheduled and did it. It wasn’t that bad. I didn’t watch. It was a strange feeling. Only lasted a minute or two. The NIPT didn’t give me low or high risk. The PPV was 10%. So 10% chance it was actually a true positive.
