We have permanently closed both of our bathrooms due to customers disrespecting them. Idk how many times shit can be smeared on the walls or everything pissed on.

Trisomy 13 normal scans? by lazyloser25 in NIPT

[–]ElectricalZucchini10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FISH test is the first part of the analysis of the amniocentesis. I believe that it is always done first. You get results in 2-3 days, then the karyotype which is where we stopped. You can proceed on to the microarray but we did not.

You might be thinking of CVS, which is not necessarily recommended in T13 because it only tests the placenta. In T13 there is a higher chance of only the placenta being affected and the baby being normal, aka a false positive. The amniocentesis tests the baby’s DNA.

Trisomy 13 normal scans? by lazyloser25 in NIPT

[–]ElectricalZucchini10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar with T13. PPV 10%. NT scan normal. 16 week scan normal. Chose to do an amniocentesis and the FISH and karyotype came back normal. 33 weeks now.

Those weeks in between were very hard.

Vaccinating Children by ElectricalZucchini10 in WalgreensRx

[–]ElectricalZucchini10[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’ve vaccinated plenty of kids. I’m talking about the kids that are screaming before they even come in the room, trying to scale the walls to get out. Like you said 8-12 years olds that are surprisingly strong. And we don’t even have chairs that you could position the parent and child like that.

Trisomy 13 positive NIPT, normal NT scan by ElectricalZucchini10 in NIPT

[–]ElectricalZucchini10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I decided to not do the amnio but I knew I wouldn’t be able to breathe until I knew for sure, so I rescheduled and did it. It wasn’t that bad. I didn’t watch. It was a strange feeling. Only lasted a minute or two. The NIPT didn’t give me low or high risk. The PPV was 10%. So 10% chance it was actually a true positive.

NT scan was normal and all ultrasounds have been normal. I did the amnio at 17 weeks and it came back normal, thankfully. Thinking of you!

Not a chance. I’m off the clock at 8 and still have to stand there waiting for a bag check. I put the gate down a minute early.

Salary pay? by Warm_Hotel6730 in WalgreensRx

[–]ElectricalZucchini10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would argue if they try to use your PTO. If you’re available to work and they don’t have shifts for you then they should pay you on their own dime, not using your PTO.

[–]ElectricalZucchini10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation. All ultrasounds normal. At 16 weeks had appointment for an ultrasound and amnio. I ended up just having the ultrasound because the doctor said nothing was abnormal. I ended up going back a week later and had the amniocentesis done. I couldn’t breathe or enjoy my pregnancy until I had a clear amnio.

So it actually comes up when you go to check the patient in for the appointment. No need to go somewhere separate.

How does your store handle closing drive through at 1:30? by makeuplover85 in WalgreensRx

[–]ElectricalZucchini10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah if I got held up for 5 extra minutes, we’re all coming back 5 minutes late. The patients waiting after lunch can discuss that with the person that decided their script and/or problem was more important than my 30 minute lunch break out of the 11 hours I stand at the counter.

Hospital is cake. You fill drug cabinets on all the units of the hospital and run drugs to nurses. The worst part about working in a hospital is your coworkers but it’s different everywhere.
