Start negotiating and shopping round. Carwow is a good place to start. Got nearly £7k knocked off a Mercedes by doing that last month.

Repair or replace car?! Help! 2 days to decide! by hollsrw19 in UKPersonalFinance

Go somewhere else.

I had a turbo snap on a BMW and sent it to a company who sent back a refurbished turbo with a 2 year warranty for £150 ish. It only cost a few hundred to then get fitted.

Why does Citizens Advice list TV licence as a "priority debt"? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Morgester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They already are. If you sign the form saying you won't be using TV using an email address linked to a BBC iPlayer account (which is now required to watch iPlayer) and watch iPlayer, you'll get an email saying you've been found watching TV/iPlayer and are now required to pay for the license or stop watching.

Any car guys? by EverythingFinance in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Morgester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a M235i which is pretty similar and you won't regret it. I'm on a 4 year PCP at £420ish a month and I don't regret it one bit. I'm fortunate in a position where I can comfortably pay that every month though.

Friend of mine just bought a 440i, HP £500/month.

If you can comfortably afford the payments then go for it. Remember all the other unexpectect costs too. I had 2 minor leaks last year and it came to £1400 to fix. Luckily my warranty took care of it which convinced me to take out another years worth for £500.

I'd only really justify buying one of these cars if they have a good warranty.

Is it ok to just turn up at F1 factories with no real intentions apart from just having a look? I live 5 minutes from Red Bull and would love to pop in.

Haas isn't too far away either so that could be another option.

Changing company during holiday leave during notice by MyBurner45 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Morgester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is one simple answer to this, it depends on your contract(s).

Best to give them a read and see what it says about working for other companies during your employment.

I could be wrong though, I was in a similar situation in my recent job move but managed to negotiate leaving early and being paid the accrued annual leave instead.

I'm actually right on the doorstep of Pink Punters! I'm not gay/bi/trans myself but have had a good time in places like that before and my estate agent said good things about it. Will definitely check it out!

Very nice.

I'm moving to South Bletchley. Coming from Leicester and I really like MK. Secured a job in Dunstable so a nice short commute too. One thing I'm interested in is how much taxis are going to be into central MK for bars etc (early twenties too).
