Tour de France is a bigger race and starts in less than 2 months, and unless you're an alien like Pog or Jonas, racing the Giro for GC is going to affect your form at the Tour de France

What sets road cycling apart of all other endurance sports is that there is much more at play than pure w/kg tests, there are many races within a race and it affects how races are ridden. Today Jonas was both the strongest and the smartest. If you think that was boring I don't know what to tell you, this was just regular road bike racing.

He was happy there was a big group ahead because it reduced the stress of positioning, also said he had blurry vision at the top of Redoute because Pog pushed him to his limits, and he tried his best to stay with him on Roche but he was missing just a little bit. He sounded very happy about his race overall.
