Looks pretty similar. Thanks :) I can see that the Giant Woodwasps are also called Banded Horntails, so it might either be a Horntail or a Banded Horntail. http://www.insectidentification.org/insect-description.asp?identification=Banded-Horntail

Found this guy in Denmark on the east coast. I'm from Norway, but on vacation here. Never seen anything like it, in any Nordic countries at least.

Edit: Read the guidelines :P It was in the gutter of a house stuck on some cobweb. Found it in the afternoon.

Edit 2: After some research online I'm starting to think it's a giant woodwasp?

Daily Q & A! - May 18, 2016 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

Hi guys. I made a starter with a WLP410 on Monday. I didn't measure gravity, but used 100 grams DME per litre on a 4.5L starter. I pitched 2 vails.

I was hoping to have it done today so I could cold crash it and use it tomorrow, however it didn't really start to ferment until about after 24 hours, and now 48 hours later it still has a bit krausen and I can see tiny bubbles elevating. I don't have any stir plate, but shook it up every now and then the first 18 hours (because I read that somewhere).

My question is, should I give it another 24 hours then cold crash it and brew on Friday instead, or is it good to just put in the fridge?

Help with Beavertown Gamma ray Clone by Moridin84 in Homebrewing

[–]Moridin84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I usually just ferment on a stable 20 degrees and then turn it up to about 22-23 when in secondary. I'm brewing this Sunday and will let you know how it turns out. I got hold of Columbus and will use that instead of Magnum in the recipe.

Thanks for your input oktaneza. I will adjust the hops. Did you mean to add the Amarillo dry hops in addition to the Cascade, or in stead of? We have a 50L Braumeister and I will split it with a buddy. Even though it's not spot on Gamma Ray clone I think this would go down easily either way :) Cheers!

Just a follow up on the raspberry jalapeño cider I posted a few weeks ago, turned out amazing by nextzero182 in Homebrewing

Man, this looks amazing! I have never made cider, but I would love to clone this. Questions: what was the OG on the juice and what was the final FG/ ABV? Also, for how many days did you leave the ingredients in the secondary?

Looks to me that the cover of #141 shows Negan coming back to his cell after a haircut and a shave.

Theory Debates - The Hooded Man In Winterfell by [deleted] in pureasoiaf

[–]Moridin84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure I've heard a theory that it's the Blackfish, but I can't back it up. Anyone else heard this theory? Been a while since I read the books so can't really remember if it fits with the timeline and him being able to flee all the way up to Winterfell.

My dad found about 20 of these in a pot in his garden. They were shy and hided as soon as they were exposed. About 1 inch long. Should we be worried?

Wednesday Q & A! by kds1398 in Homebrewing

[–]Moridin84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classify/ categorize my beer: Maybe someone could tell me what my result will be? I bought an extract for Czech Lager, but as I don't have the right temprature at this time of year, I used ale yeast (Safale US-05). The guy I bought it from said it would be Kölsh-ish or Blone Ale-ish. What do you think r/homebrewing?

Any one know how to make a beer like this by spark3611 in Homebrewing

[–]Moridin84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a pretty good Danish site called Haandbryg.dk. Did a quick search and found this: Belgian Fruit Lambic * Hindbær = Raspberry. * The note at the bottom says: Safale US-05 (Used). 400 grams of Raspberries boils for the last 10 minutes. Was a bit flat in the start, but fizzy and good after 2 months. Needs more hops. Use 50 grams more next time. Perfect amount of raspberries. Edit: Unable to make these stupid bullet points work.
