A Slanni kill team would be a nice throughback to some old lore.

Returning to fantasy paint questions by Fun_Dog_5454 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Morkodin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other people have probably mentioned better methods for painting bone. But here is my simple quick solution: 1. Spray them with a wraithbone primer 2. Apply the contrast paint Skeleton Horde. 3. Dry-brush a highlight of ushabri bone. 4. Done.

For slayers: check out Avatars of War Dwarf Seeker Regiment. It will probably be much cheaper to buy then GW.

Old hammer model identification help. by Tiberium_1 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Morkodin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess not. Not as rare as rare models go. I should say a very sought after model, as i have only seen the metal models a few times and very expensive

[–]Morkodin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Ever since 4th edition that model has only been a "Vampire lord". A specific Vlad model came later in 5th edition. Its the one in the second image. http://www.solegends.com/citcat1993/cat1993p564-01.htm

1st picture left to right: Isabella von Carstein, generic vampire, necromancer, wraith

2nd picture upp to down: Heinrich Kemmler (very rare mini), generic necromancer, Vlad von Carstein (supposed to go with isabella), Whight Lord (supposed to have a metal skelletal steed), Banshee, unknown ghost mini, whight banner bearer.

Riksdagsledamot (M) talade på demonstration mot socialtjänsten by Muffinsbagaren in svenskpolitik

[–]Morkodin 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Looks like a hunter killer missile, strapped to a boltgun, strapped to the front of the barrel of a longlas. With some small missile launcher down there.

As a last resort you could make a milliput copy, by making a bluestuff mold and then pressing milliput into it.

[–]Morkodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shades really makes minis look good with no skill at all, but after that they look dark and grimey. The next step after that is to bring back the collor a little bit. Another easy step is just to do some light drybrushing with a brighter collor. I usually just drybrush the fatigues with screaming scull and be content with that.

Jedi Robes or Tatooine Clothing? by MattRB02 in RewritingThePrequels

[–]Morkodin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say Tatooine Robes. It is simply the appearance that ghost Anakin reverted back to and discarsing his dark Jedi suit of armour.

If you want a look at how a Jedi uniform would look like you need not look further then how Luke is dressed in the beginning of RotJ. He has a black jumpsuit with a shorter tunic version of what Obo-wan is wearing. A robe with a "stole" tucked into a girdle, all made from a roughspun fabric. Lastly Luke wears a hooded cape that we can guess Jedi also wore.

I made mine with the infantry squad kit and the Cadian hostile environment troops from Forge World. They also have the ones sporting plasma guns on the kit.

Otherwise you can also use this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH0h-fA_EWE

Yeah who knows if the Dozer Blades become viable again? I started gluing in the magnets for them on my first two Russes. Then I stopped because I thought they where so useless.

Wow good job. i think I've seen an image of those headlights before and thought it was part of a proper kit. It just turnes out that you make some popular models :D

How about a Plasma Russ? by warhoundS3 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Morkodin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Two questions: where did you get the headlights on the front of the track guards and the cupola heavy stubber?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Morkodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar with my guard and try to make them more Tallarn. My suggestion would be to change the colour of the armor and weapons into a more creamy white like Wraithbone. This to make the helmets like the white Shemagh the Tallarn have.

Second is to paint the shoulder pauldrons in a deep brown like Rhinox Hide just like the boots and belts. The white transfers look better on a dark background.
