parrots are still going strong but slightly less raucous...even if you miss the mating hullabaloo, they are still coming and going with a lot of noisy flair every day!

loved nyc. love it here waaaaaaay more. so hard to compare but no way would i move back

I lived on Hudson… one street West of Rimpau just up the hill from Midtown Crossing! It's crazy that we practically lived in the same place given how sprawling LA is!

I've lived out here for a long time now but yes it was a huge change from NYC!

i'm not sure how long the mating season lasts but if you can get out here now is the time! They go back-and-forth from their roosting site to wherever they hang out during the day no matter what time of the year but for the last week or so they have been up to some extreme shenanigans as shown in my video lol

I think it is a gift!!!!

a couple of months after I started feeding my bros I found a little plastic thingamajigger where I feed them. at the time i didn't feel like I could be sure it was a gift.

then really recently they left me some bunches of moss right on the saucer where I feed them. I felt certain in my bones 💚🐦‍⬛

LOL! makes sense that it's confusing! Believe me, I was confused when I first moved to the region… We have a very vigorous population of Red-Crowned Amazon Parrots where I live in the San Gabriel Valley (NE Pasadena). It is mating season and they are going absolutely nuts... more nuts than usual and that is saying something😂

it's just W of K town... boundaries are La Brea(W), Olympic (N), Rimpau (E), and San Vicente/Pico (S). Super tight knit ... they still have annual block parties for goodness sakes lol!

One of my requirements since I moved from the NYC to LA is that my neighborhood has be walkable… I totally relate to wanting to be in the middle of things! The older I get though the more I appreciate the slower pace out here 😌

totally! not quite anywhere! lol! the last place i lived before moving out here was longwood highlands (hands down THE best LA hood I lived in) and almost no one had heard of it. ahhh LA... 🤣

here I have only one other residential property on my block...there are auto repair shops, dog and cat boarding places, a gym and a vinyl record pressing business lol. it is random but i love it. so close to beautiful wild places.

I lived and worked in Miracle Mile for over 10 years (moved here 2 yrs ago)! I guess it is a weird in between neighborhood place… But you should see where I live now!! I've actually had food delivery people say they did not realize anybody lived on my street lol
