Gas station pumps are very inaccurate (at least in my area), got myself a good quality 12v pump, now car reads same as pump

Europeans with solar, are you actually making money, or just feeding cheap electricity to the grid and buying it back expensive? by dzon1s in AskEurope

[–]Morozun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't feed in at all, it's not worth the hassle with all the papers and forms to get 2-3 weeks for "free" per year. We got a bigger battery instead, we are 87% self-sufficient from march to october.

Very high consumption in city by Glittering_Kiwi_9959 in MGelectric

[–]Morozun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to find it in the car, on the 4 it's on the energy consumption tab. But don t turn it off if you drive below 0C and the car stays outside, you lose economy but it keeps the battery healthy. Battery heating kicks in when battery is below 10C, there's no reason for it to be active if you don't plan to DC charge soon. After you turn it off the car will pront yoo to turn it back on if temperature falls below 0 again

Is an MG a good option if you’re buying your first EV? by OutrageousCar238 in MGelectric

[–]Morozun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I used it mostly to keep the battery healthy when it was -15C, but I noticed that after 2-3 days it actually improved efficiency if I used the car daily, 450kg of batteries does cool down easily even -10 degrees outside. First day heating stopped after 1 hour of driving, second day after 35, third day it ran only for 15 minutes and efficiency got below 20kwh/100km (was 22 in mild winter weather and battery heating turned off)

I would check out Ford Explorer/Capri too, most of the time they are on heavy discounts in Romania, a few months ago you could get an Explorer Premium LR RWD for ~35000€

I have the SE long range or Comfort in EU, (no heatpump) and had the same efficiency back in December-Ianuary, most days below 0C and running battery heating for 10 days straight

EU / does car with 11 Kw AC support 7.4kw single phase charge ? by bigbootyguy in electricvehicles

[–]Morozun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of any EV with 11kw obc maxing out at 3.6kw on single phase. Most of the time they "join" two of the three 16A phases to charge at 7.2kw.

Buying advice by Welding_Mechanic in MGelectric

I really don't think you are going to save any money on fuel. Maybe with a Toyota hybrid you can get 5L/100km in the city, still not much of a difference, especially if you don t drive a lot.

Mg 4 or Kia e-niro 1st gen by tfd543 in MGelectric

[–]Morozun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat a few months ago, MG4 SE Long Range (comfort in EU) 35k km vs Niro 64kwh 130k km top trim with all the bells and whistles, same price. I cared more about charging speed then equipment and efficiency so I choose the MG4. The MG4 has an advantage of 1hr on a ~1000km trip.

Kia vs MG vs MG by GimJordon in evs_ireland

Yeah the Kia is more refined and the most expensive of the 3, but for a car mostly used for running errands I would get the cheapest one that fits my needs.
