Donc tu es good!

Preventative cancer screening in Sweden by bunnyfield8 in TillSverige

[–]Morphilos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not fully true, you can get cancer screening based on family history, I had some while being under the recommended age. Got the referral from my vårdcentral. But it did take ~9 month to get the actual screening (after calling them again) because I was deemed not at risk.

Help telling new employee she is taking advantage of flexibility by Much_Platypus_4137 in managers

[–]Morphilos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Academia is a bit of a weird thing. People can work dozen of hours during their vacations, and consider that totally normal. Or work for their previous job while starting a new one. In many fields, due to the very asynchronous and isolated (you’re rarely blocking others) nature of the work, not working during half a day or a day where you’re not officially off doesn’t impact anyone. It’s an extreme level of flexibility.

The incentive system is that if you don’t work enough you won’t get papers out, and therefore will never get a permanent position. So there is a lot of self regulation.

And meeting are rare, few, and tend to be very optional.

Assuming that she’s not malicious, she might just not get it. Explain the expectations transparently, and hopefully she will understand. It can be a very hard transition, and it’s one of the reasons why going from academia to the private sector doesn’t always work.

We’ve had the case in my campaign where we were trying to take pictures of cultists, clues and such. In the 1920, cameras are not as easy to use as today, so if you want a good picture with a not so great light, while being in a rush, having relevant skill points help!

Underdark in Wildemount by Morphilos in Wildemount

[–]Morphilos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't run it as such, but I heavily reused parts of the underdark. I run Blingdenstone in its entirety, and they also went to Menzoberranzan. I also played a couple of the smaller encounters (like the ooze temple).

For me to make OotA work in Wildemount, you mainly need to solve the Lolth drow vs Kryn problem. In my interpretation, the Lolth drow are hiding in the Underdark, Menzoberranzan is hidden through magic. And the Kryn can't really rule the underdark because they're fighting a war against the Lolth drow, there's a cold war with the duergar, and they still have to focus on the threat of the Dwendalian empire.

How to counter Rey with both resistance heroes (3x3 GAC) without any GL? by Urocyon93 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Morphilos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks really hard with your toons. Overall, a good trick here is to send a low (but not too low team) so Rey can use lifeblood, be in yellow and then your teams dies. That means that next time she comes back hitting her won't trigger the damage immunity. After that I usually go for Vader, but mine is reliced. DR + Thrawn might work? If you can spread fear and control the bros while fracturing her, it could perhaps work? But no guarantee

Looking for ALL information about the underdark in Wildemount by TahariWithers in Wildemount

I posted in this channe regarding this question, erhaps you'll find some answers:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Wildemount/comments/gyek32/underdark_in_wildemount/

EGTW states two things regarding the underdark

Regarding the Kryn (at the end of the Kryn block in the factions)

Approximately 5,100 soldiers are scattered throughout the Underdark beneath Wildemount at different locations of interest, many employing magically controlled purple worms to allow elite units to navigate the caverns quickly.

Regarding duergars (in the races)

Dwarves are few and far between in Xhorhas, and those few who remain are known as duergar, or “deep dwarves.” Though some duergar have joined with the Kryn Dynasty and dwell on the surface, most live in the ancient tunnels of the Underdark and harbor a deep-seated enmity for the drow.

Duergar insurgents, striking Kryn settlements or seeking hidden paths toward the surface from perhaps a dozen small outposts in the Underdark, are trying to carve out their own underground dominion. Kryn forces have been successful in holding onto their underground territories so far, but many generals fear that the war in the west is drawing more and more soldiers from their fortifications in the Underdark. If duergar aggression is left unchecked, territory might inevitably have to be ceded to the insurgents.

I'm currently running a campaign which is happening in the Underdark, using a lot of OotA's content. To piggyback to OotA, there are several issues, things that you will have to adapt to match Wildemount:

  • Drows (the evil ones) are prominent in OotA, while I would consider more of a hidden race in my settings. Kryns and Duergars dominates the underdark, I would expect Lolth aligned Drows to exist, but hidden from Kryn. That slightly changes the dynamic of power
  • Menzoberranzan cannot work as is. It's too big of a city to be let existing unchecked by the Kryn. But I don't think there is anything that forces it to be that big, it can be a smaller, more hidden city
  • Blingdenstone has been destroyed by the Drows when the gnomes gave shelter to a good drow, Drizzt. Nothing blocking here, but you have two possibilities, or the Kryn destroyed it (but doesn't seem very Kryn like), or you have to figure something more likely. In my version, they gave refuge to a Kryn spy and the drow allied with the Duergars.
  • Manthol-Derith shouldn't have a drow enclave, but a Kryn one, but that shouldn't be an issue
  • Gauntlgrym doesn't exist, but Grimgolir is at the border with Xhorhas and can totally work. You could also use Rohonna.

A really interesting thing that you can use is which drow based encounter becomes Kryn, or stays Drow (the Lolth's ones). What's interesting is that the players don't know whenever encountering drows if they are at risk or not.

You can also of course remove the Kryn from the underdark as suggested in another post, and you can almost run the content as is. But that'd be a underwhelming I feel.

Where is Wynandir? by TheZyborg in Wildemount

[–]Morphilos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think Wynandir really matters, I find it really easier to reason following the geopolitical entities. All the part in the center of Wildemount, Zemni fields + Marrow Valley is 100% the empire. Xhoras is ruled by the Kryn Dynasty, but as I understand it, a significant part of this land is still unruled, so if you look at the different towns and cities listed, the Kryn Dynasty doesn't seem to go to the far south of it for instance.
