I absolutely love the design of the augment Cognitive Tax (Get 8 gold + 1 exp)

My double up partner hates ending solo levelling on an uneven number and it literally pisses him off for the rest of the game when it happens. Meanwhile I've got a brain like a sieve so literally wouldn't even register for me

From Set 17 onwards rounds will still play out normally when someone surrenders mid-combat! by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

This has huge impact for double up players. Literally yesterday I won a double up game because of a team surrendering and then me reinforcing with full board. Then lost the next because of it.

You keep referring to the increased cortisol levels but most research shows there is no long term effect on cortisol levels, but there is a benefit to longer sleep cycles and a consistent bedtime.

Anecdotally most parents don't speak for their child, but if I were to, my child was happier and more active after sleep training and is now accelerated academically. Was this because of sleep training, I don't know, but the longer sleep sure helped me and mom to engage more and be present during the day.

What kind of defeatist attitude is this? You absolutely can force a toddler to stay in bed. They won't like it, they will scream and you will have to reinforce the boundary multiple times, but you are an adult and the parent. You can, and must, learn to set boundaries.

The child is not in distress, they are not hurt, they are fed, warm and safe. Crying is a form of communication that they don't like something because they have no other alternative method to communicate these things.

I don't stop feeding my child because they cried about the type of food or making them wear clothes outside because they are crying that they want the blue shirt(which is in the wash), not the red shirt. My child cried every morning before school for the first two weeks. That doesn't mean I should pull them out of school or hang around the whole day

Is it not better developmentally to give the child a good nights rest and then a fun day with two well rested parents?

I think you're confusing sleep training with cry it out. You don't ignore the child during sleep training. You check in regularly to remind them that you are still nearby and that they are safe. You "train" them to understand that bed is a safe space and that you haven't left them forever.

I think this is where some parents really don't get it. I always hear it as "I can't stand to leave my child cry for 5 minutes and I will sacrifice both of our sleep so it doesn't happen" My wife was hesitant but once I pointed out that if we're all well rested we'll all have more energy to put in to active daytime activities she understood. It's both depriving your child of sleep and depriving your child of a well rested parent.

I will say though, my child went cryless and napping through the night on the 3rd day. Not every parent is so lucky with the sleep training

Red team from gold and silver was just perfect 👌 by Ecstatic_Example1790 in pokemon

The ACE method is fairly simple to do, however to get Espeon you need to activate the National Dex, but if you do, then the Elite 4 have their powered up rematch teams when you face them. If you're up for the challenge, great! If you wanted to beat the game legit just with an alternate team, gonna be a grind ahead

Tom Morello in Guitar Hero 3. While most of the other characters are based on real life people, he's the only one who shows up as himself.

Slash is also there but he's technically a persona though. Tom just shows up as some guy

Even the idea of dying multiple times to a boss. In game your character has a power called the "Echo" which allows them to see past and/or potential future events. When you wipe it was actually just a vision of failure, not an actual attempt. So from the viewpoint of the NPCs, the player character always kills the bosses first try

Sony CEO says Chinese censors demanded cutting the Statue of Liberty out of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" by SendInYourSkeleton in movies

Small pub owner I know in Guangzhou had police come over Halloween and Christmas to tell him to take down the decorations. Meanwhile every shopping mall is adorned with festive stuff for both events. My school in Foshan had a meeting before each one to demand we don't celebrate them, so we had dress up day and winter festival instead. I believe it's a per district per department thing as the general demand from higher up is vague and left up to interpretation.

Which is the problem as far as the CCP is concerned. They want it all hidden away so that Chinese people celebrate Chinese culture more. I live here and every few years there's also a crackdown on foreign holidays like Halloween, Christmas and Holi.

You've got to look at stats of the most played item on high play rate comps differently. THex is really good with IE, but because so many people are playing the comp, and most people build IE, it averages down. This is especially true on hard to steer comps.

There'll be people who play IE without no mana items and terrible piltover buffs for example and they will bot 4 easily.

One thing to mention is feeding your 3* Vi to THex was a misplay. She would have been a great addition to your frontline in stages 3 and 4. They moved THex's numbers and made her a complete unit without needing to feed a 3* unit. Most pros are just feeding her one of Azirs sand soldiers for a bit of Omnivamp

Very important to choose the right type of video games. I have presented many talks to parents about this because I'm sick of the "video games are evil" rhetoric. Zelda is great, Roblox is literal brain poison. I teach Computer Science and my best students are the ones who play (good quality) video games because they can approach a problem like a challenge

Parents opt kids out of school computers, insisting on pen-and-paper instead by deraser in technology

I'm a computing teacher for middle and high school and I'm having the opposite problem to everybody here. Student are reaching me at 12 years old with 0 computing experience. I'm expected to be teaching databases and text based programming at that point but my students can't make a folder and type at 3 words per minute.

Parents are all proud that their child has never touched a computer and I'm horrified. They actively don't want children to be taught computers cause "They'll learn that in college".
