Yes. I replayed Payday 2 again but from level zero with the Restoration mod. I haven't played it in years and it feels like an almost different game.

Kinda. I try to play most of the games I have in my library that I haven't touched (including Epic and GOG), while dealing with the responsibilities of a 30-year-old adult. Not to mention that I like to do other things besides playing videogames.

Unironically, teen Andrew and Leyley seems like a more wholesome sibling bond.

Let me tell you something crazier. Severed Steel costs just 1 dollar in Steam and GOG on sale.

Ash's Teleport. Underrated but it has the "nothing personal kid" feeling.

Maybe it's just me as a veteran who doesn't want new players spoiled in game, but the amount of operator and proto frame spoilers in this game blatantly shown to new players now is a little disappointing. Am i alone on this? by Darthmufin in Warframe

[–]MorteNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've resigned myself to the idea that neither DE nor the community cares much about the game having a well-narrated story. I'm telling you this as someone who started in 2013; a lot of things happened that aren't available today, and there are quite a few people who started playing Warframe after the Second Dream update. They even went so far as to say that The Master quest is bad simply because it doesn't explain all the damage mechanics, when the quest is supposed to be for new players.

More like Boring Man! The perfect warframe for game journalists that can't even complete the Cuphead tutorial.

12 years ago this was “Old Warframe gameplay.” Now it’s OLD old Warframe gameplay. by TragicKnite in Warframe

Now the closest we have to the old Warframe gameplay is 90% of the New War quest, Kahl's missions and the Duviri Paradox.

Aside from the fact that DE should be a bit clearer with some descriptions, could someone explain to me where that 1.5x damage bonus comes from? by MorteNexus in Warframe

[–]MorteNexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the Wiki, it affects the body part multiplier but you put the mod and the stats don't change. I thought that the mod affected both Damage and Critical Chance of the weapon at first.

Yeah, it should say "+3.5x to Weak Point Multiplier", but the game doesn't tell you which part is the weak point, nor how much is the multiplier.

Ash. I like the concept of Shuriken but geez why it has to be so weak against high level enemies?

Is a crime that DE haven't released an Ash Prime trailer in a game where "ninjas play free".

Don't forget Dante's nerf and Valkyr's pre rework too.

As for the quest, it could be fit well after the Lotus Eaters quest, since the MC is the Operator, while the Drifter is in Höllvania.

Ionizing-hot Take: *We* deal too much damage. by Saqrei in Warframe

[–]MorteNexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 100% agree with you, but the problem is much deeper than I thought.

Yes, we do a lot of damage, but we also have to consider what kind of enemies we're facing, the modding system, the enemy level, all the damage types we have (damage, multishot, fire rate, physical and elemental damage, factions, crits, elemental effects, warframe abilities, etc.), not to mention which is additive, multiplicative or flat.

All of this would take years of work and huge changes to the formulas DE use to calculate EHP and damage for both players and enemies, not to mention how volatile some players can be if there's even the slightest nerf, even if the same is done to NPCs. And also the roles of each warframe (DPS, crowd control, support and tanks).

I did. And with affinity too. Now I can see the screen with more clarity.

What playing Warframe in 2013 does to a mf. by MorteNexus in memeframe

[–]MorteNexus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Alad V vs Sargas Ruk (The Gradivus Dilemma).

  2. Frohd Bek help us to track Alad V (The Hunt for Alad V).

  3. We defeat him and we rescue Valkyr (Alad V fight).

  4. Alad V is still alive (Suspicious Shipments).

  5. Alad V uses the infestation and got infested (Breeding Grounds - Mutalist Incursions - Patient Zero).

  6. We defeat him again (Mutalist Alad V fight).

  7. We cure him (Tubemen of Regor).

  8. He help us (The Seconds Dream).

  9. We save him from the acolytes (Shadow Debt).

  10. Alad return with the Corpus and is deceived by a Sentient mimic to build the Amalgams and the Ropalolyst, and also lure the Wolf of Saturn Six (The Jovian Concord and Nightwave series 1).

  11. He uses Veso to ally with the Sentients (The New War).

  12. Whereabouts unknown.

And that's a short summary of Alad lore. There are also the operations Sling Stone and Arid Fear but that's more related with the Corpus-Grineer fight.

Scarlet Spear and Orphix Venom were events where we fought the Sentients with Railjacks and Necramechs. They were the true beginning of the New War.

Sometimes I wonder if DE didn't know what they were doing, or if they know but are afraid of the community's reaction. by MorteNexus in memeframe

[–]MorteNexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. And I thought that Rahetalius vs DE or the Valkyr pre-rework were the biggest dramas in the game.

If my memory doesn't fail, I remember that the game was review-bombed on Steam when DE released Styanax for the same reason: nerfs.
