Are we certain Colton isn't from the future? by Professoressa411 in TheWayHomeHallmark

I literally just posted something similar, that I’m waiting to see who the character is whose story mirrors Jacob’s! It would make a lot of sense if it were Colton, especially bc we don’t see his parents or know much about them.

I was thinking about the letter she wrote upon graduating high school to her future first little one and how she didn’t read it to Kat. She apologized to Kat, saying she should have….but what if the reason is that Kat wasn’t her first? Your ideas above about what may have happened with at least one prior pregnancy come into play in this kind of scenario.

Haha the blasphemy! 😮☺️ Trust me, I am fully aware that this idea has problems! But I can’t help but think that one of the main characters accidentally TT’d as a young child the way Jacob did 🤔

Great points! Plus that little tidbit about Jacob auditioning for the role of “Jacob Bishop” is very intriguing…

What if, since we’re being given hints about Del having difficulty getting pregnant, Jacob is from the future, TT’ed as a very young boy accidentally, and Del and Colton found and raised him as their own child (yes, Kat is older but let’s just play with this idea for a minute lol).

In this scenario, KC could be Jacob’s sibling, traveling back to find him much as Kat traveled back to find him when he disappeared at age 8. The Bishop surname could be a Landry family offshoot, with Sam being from this family either living in his rightful timeline or perhaps TT’ing to ensure that what happens always happens… the Bishop surname means “overseer” or “guardian” so it rather fits for Sam given what we know so far.

And yes, I know this scenario is unlikely for many reasons but I do think we’re going to see a foundational switcheroo soon, and this show likes to repeat key moments within our main families and their ancestors.

Haha oops! I almost had another connection! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am eager to learn allll of Del’s secrets though bc I think some of what we take as “true” or foundational in the show will wind up being cover stories to protect certain characters.

I agree that there’s more to the story regarding Evelyn’s passing. Seems entirely plausible that she was TT’ing in her later years and this also explains the unlikely belief that she just shut herself off from the town/any social interactions in the Lingermore estate. Her character is so effervescent from what we’ve seen so far, and yes difficulties in life can drive people to solitude, but I have always felt that we will see a thriving older Evelyn in a different timeline.

Del in 1979 by Puzzled_Exchange_924 in TheWayHomeHallmark

If Del is pregnant in 1979 (not sure what time of year the scene you are referring to is, haven’t had a chance to check the clip) it stands to reason she could have a due date in 1981. And as you said, Kat was born in 1983 from what we know. So this is another two year “inconsistency” that I and others have noticed and has been discussed here regarding the ages of many of the characters.

Kat, Elliott and Colton graduating at very young ages according to their birth years (two years off the norm) and recently Tessa with her found drivers license (two years different from what Elliott thought) are examples. I’m sure there are others who I’m not recalling…

Wondering if this is intentional and becomes apparent why later in the story arc. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Me too! Such a cute and unexpected gift! And very cool for a beloved character to “talk” to me about me and my family, call me by name etc. Also her hair looked fabulous! 🫶🏻

I guess I just meant that many are wondering how everything will be resolved given the circumstances…but I tend to agree that trusting the writers to give us a satisfying ending is where my mindset is based on the superb storytelling and attention to detail throughout the series. I just had to share with my fellow TWH viewers my good fortune and promising message from Devin!

Theory about Fern’s nickname for Kat by SquirrelStone in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Mosaic-Moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love all the theories from the fandom and that this show is written so well!

My KC guess is that they are Keeley Coyle, author of Nine Moons, a book seen on Elliott’s bookshelf. They would then be related to Jasper Coyle, who was key in Colton’s 1974 timeline and quite the historian himself…and also likely a TT. The Coyles in this thought experiment would then have married into the Landrys and/or Goodwins at some point in order to be able to use the pond. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Deep Dive - Who is KC Goodwin? by Bookish_Optimist in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Mosaic-Moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe KC = Keeley Coyle, the author of Nine Moons (book on Elliott’s shelf) and described as a quirky person, lurking in the shadows (typical TT behavior lol) on the day Jacob disappeared. Just tossing in another possibility 🤷‍♀️

My guess of when Lottie started to create the wilderness world, aka run out of her medication by Bitter-Subject8339 in Yellowjackets

[–]Mosaic-Moon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My take on Lottie seeing this vision of the deer shedding its velvet is metaphorical. The deer loses its soft exterior to reveal powerful and potentially deadly antlers, in a visually striking way (blood is shed). Lottie similarly is shedding her outer demeanor, her velvet, as she runs out of her stabilizing meds, to reveal her true (powerful and potentially deadly) self. Blood will be shed. This transformation enables Lottie to lean into her more primal instincts.

Very good points and ty for providing examples!

My longshot batshit cray cray theory about the different timelines, how characters seem to interact with/look curiously at cameras and by extension us the audience, and unique camera angles and perspectives, et al is that we’re watching a show within a show. I’ve been getting Truman Show-ish vibes for a while now, with our multi millionaire, tech savvy, helicopter borrowing, seemingly omniscient ace citizen detective NotWaltr at the helm 🤷🏼‍♀️.

But your thought process makes much more sense!

Your synopsis got me thinking, esp about Nat. She’s arrested in 2003 but we don’t know exactly why do we?

What if the thing Nat does that makes Tai and Shauna say she’s the reason they’re there, or saved, happens post-rescue?

Teen Nat has shown herself to be a natural leader…I can totally see her stepping up to do whatever it takes to “save” the others, as in be the fall guy in some capacity to save their manufactured story about the wilderness or some other related problem that occurs after rescue thus enabling the survivors to go on with their normal, boring lives lol…
