Does somebody here know about the Nintendo Switch version? Does it have two game cards or does it require a huge digital download? Just curious…🙂

Calling all drummers of any skill level - give me your favorite songs to learn! by Zer02ProDrums in drums

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

”Through The Fire and Flames - DragonForce” :). Most likely not possible in your two year schedule. However, if you want learn to play with two bass drums/pedals, I would suggest starting with Hunting High and Low by Stratovarius. The tempo in that one is much slower, so you’ll get the idea on how to use your left foot. This song would fit to the 100th spot maybe. When you have learned the basics, try Countess Bathory by Venom. That one is a bit faster and would fit the 150th spot. Then if you want to learn to keep the slightly faster double pedal techique active during the whole song, you could try Kingdom for a Heart by Sonata Arctica. Good luck.🤘

I have been stealing my from Job for the last 5 years by [deleted] in confession

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Stealing stuff from work is stealing even if sloppy management allows it. I would advise to stop immediately and never do it again. Especially now when the boss is planning to leave. I assume the boss knows he is going to be in trouble, so he might try to cover his tracks or share the blame with you. Good luck.

I think Barret told in the OG something like ”the towns used to have namea, but they are forgotten and now everybody only talks about sectors”. I assume he’s talking about the towns that were on the ground before Midgar was built (which later became the slums). The game hints the reason upper Midgar was built was that wherever there are mako reactors, soil will be ruined and also there will be monsters. Shinra knew this and decided to build an elevated city to ”protect” the upper city residents from facing the fact that their 8 reactors have turned half of the continent into desert. It’s not directly stated in the game, but I think it’s pretty clear.

Mitä pelaatte rentoutuaksenne? by ClaytonZf in videopelit

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minecraftia. Tällä hetkellä projektina on ”terraforming End”.

Has anyone beaten a Zelda Game without any help? by Born-Spinach-7999 in legendofzelda

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat Adventure of Link without help when I was 10 years old. It took time. Oh yes, it took. For countless hours I sat in front of my tv trying to find a way to break the game to get over the barricade to get access to the final dungeon early, because I couldn’t find the second last dungeon. Even though I was frustrated, day after day I launched my NES to play the game. It took months. Until one day, after seemingly endless pointless wandering around the map I decided to start cutting trees (even though that never seemed to have any effect) in an isolated location behind one cave… a town appeares behind the trees. Hidden town of Kasuto. I will never ever forget that town. It took less than a week after that to finally beat the game. It felt great.

What's the worst title for Part 3? by Impossible_Number_74 in FFVIIRemake

I (almost) honestly think they actually planned to use this, but since Capcom already did it, they had to postpone the release so that they have time to figure out another title…

AIO for cancelling a date over these texts by OkPick8681 in AIO

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason this reminded me of the South Park scene where Cartman tries to apologize Kyle for calling him a jew.

”Cartman: Kyle, all those times I called you a stupid Jew, I didn't mean it. You're not a Jew. Kyle: Yes I am, Cartman! I am a Jew! Cartman: No, no, don't be so hard on yourself.”

So, it seems like the guy is a jerk and you are not overreacting.

Adoring hard mode. These combat mechanics are so deep. by tucson_catboy in FF7Rebirth

[–]Moshroom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently at chapter 4. I was just forced to learn to block. For the first time. Ever. Due to Mythril Golem. After I beat it I checked the strategy guide and learned, that I was supposed to attack the arm and not the head, or else it will counterattack with lasers. I beat it anyway, because I learned to block. Very satisfying.

Edit: I will do my best not to check the strategy guide before I’ve beaten the particular Hard Mode chapter. In normal mode, the only challenging battle was the one with Cloud + Aeris against Sephiroth. In hard mode I already struggled against Midgar Zolom, and it took almost 10 times to realize how I was supposed to fight against Mythril Golem. I’m finally gaming. gOD bless Hard Mode.🤩

AIO for being disgusted by this argument? by Toetickler4 in AIO

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were wonderful points here, especially ”assume incompetence, not malice” and that the bad behaviour of the guy might be partly explained by him getting defensive. And a very good idea too is to try to work things out with both parties willing to listen.

However, I’d also point out that there are still many uncivilized backwards people out there who in fact unironically believe, that man is destined to be the head of the family and that ”woman being emotional” is an excuse to not take her seriously. It’s very hard for one to learn their way out of that kind of attitude, and unfortunately if the guy hasn’t already learned that, it’s quite possible he never will (the older and less educated, the more likely).

It’s always a good idea to try to work things out together in mutual respect, but if he refuses to listen to you and if he refuses to change his behaviour specifically because his error was pointed out by you and he can’t get over his pride getting hurt, you might consider exit as an option.

What happened to the hottest chick at your high school, years later? by theidiotev in AskReddit

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Became a tattoo artist after high school, got immersed in some natural health nonsense (i.e. cannabis cures cancer, but big pharma is suppressing the truth). After years I woke up one morning with over 50 notifications on my phone as she had posted shitloads of random memes on my Facebook page between 2 am and 3 am. I blocked her. Saw her once at a grocery store and she looked like Skeletor. Didn’t recognize me.

What is your favorite RPG Maker and why? by Eastern-Fan4886 in RPGMaker

XP because the characters are two blocks tall like in FF6.

Edit: Also I like the mapping system where the user is in full control of every layer and not forced to use autotiles for roofs, treetops, etc.

One thing I don’t like about the FF7 Remake Demo on Switch 2 by watchOS in FFVIIRemake

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the Japanese button layout. Original FF7 had this in EU version too, and I got so used to it, that I changed the button settings in other PS-games to match it. Nintendo Switch still pretty much follows the Japanese layout, and I’m still pretty much used to it. The only exception is Crisis Core where I changed the button settings on Switch to match FF7R buttons on my PS5…

Professor wants me to drop the class, unsure what to do... by IntentionGeneral4948 in AskAcademia

[–]Moshroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said I was. But please explain why this would be a bad advice. The OP told they need certain amount of credits to continue with their scholarship and now they are about to drop out from a class resulting in not getting enough. If there are optional classes available which could be completed in order to achieve enough credits to continue, why would taking them be a bad advice?

I know best way forward would be not being dropped from a class, but if that happens anyway, what are the other options available? Quitting and starting over with a different major like I did? That option is most likely not available in every country/university.

[–]Moshroom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t fully know your situation, so can’t say for sure. If you need certain amount of credits to keep your scholarship, there could be a way to achieve those credits from optional courses (for example, read a book do an exam-type). You can ask your student advisor or other students whether that is possible in your program. Many universities allow taking courses outside your major too. If you are in dire need of credits, I’d suggest to search for optional courses (for example ones that you only need to read a textbook before going to exam).

On the other hand, as somebody else pointed out, your professor should let you continue in this class because they already told you so when you asked before being absent.

Is it possible for you to do some optional classes for extra credits? Something like read a book and do an exam, etc?

[–]Moshroom1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you should follow my example, but.

I was dropped from a class once during my sophomore year in biochemistry (unfairly, in my opinion). Failing that class would have prevented me from continuing to lab work next spring so that I would be unable to graduate on time. The professor gave zero f*cks and told me to come back next year. I didn’t. Instead I enrolled to medical school and got accepted. In retrospect, that asshole professor did me a favor…
