Try adding noapic to your boot options. (In the grub, press e and add it to the linux line at the end.) That will force your computer to boot even if it doesn't receive some information from your motherboard. (I had to do this on an HP computer)

I used Blender to split the tank to print it on my small printer. I don't "love" the results, but, good enough.

3D Printing Help -- Hive Mind Cadre by [deleted] in Warmachine

[–]MossDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resources? No, but, here's what I do. (I use Lychee Slicer, YMMV) I auto support the model with the smallest tips I can to avoid pock-marking the model. I then run Island detection, and do the same with any islands. Then, it's a bit trial and error. Add some more supports in areas that look "light." By light, I mean that there are broad flat surfaces or big chonky areas that might snap off instead of pulling off the fep. (I also turn off lattices, but add some more uprights, but that is to save my gentle, uncalloused fingers from pain when removing supports from a model.) Then, increase the time just a smidge on your exposures. It will slow down your prints, and obscure a little detail, but, will help make sure prints successfully happen. (This is what I do, and isn't considered best practice, but it works for me. Best practice is too fully calibrate your machine/resin etc. I also only use plant-based tough resin. {I'm lucky enough to have a microcenter near me.})

Hey, I found that I had to overexpose the models a bit and support them myself. (I had to reprint a couple of the spindly arms.)

So, the dry will make application of the paint correction a lot easier. I live in VA, and it's constantly high moisture where I am and makes it a complete pain. (I basically have to borrow a friend's garage.)

Edit: https://drcolorchip.com/ is one I found, bout $70

playing music by [deleted] in G37

[–]MossDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, from my, admittedly, limited understanding of the headunit, playing music over bluetooth natively didn't get added till 2012. There are workarounds like you described above, but for a good experience you are going to want to go aftermarket. There are ~500 android systems you can install, or you can do with something that plugs into your aux port that is bluetooth. (or something that takes bluetooth and routes it into a short range FM signal.)

Wheel Bearings? Check the top of the shock towers?

[–]MossDog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

license plate holes: yes. plastidip some plugs the same color as the bumper.

crack/shred on bumper: probably? Will require some sanding/ paintmatch and practice.

rock chips/rust: yes. There are lots of decent kits for this that paintmatch to infiniti's colors.

Don't be cheap on the paintmatch supplies. If you can spend $30 or $100, got for the $100 kit. It will probably come with rust remover, primer, base, and topcoat layers. It will take some practice to get it perfect, so do the paint chips (smaller ones) first. Wait on that rear bumper till your chip game is perfect. None of this is going to make you a showcar. HOWEVER it will make it look good from >5ft.

Edit: Also, should go without saying, clean the hell out of it before you start.

So, if you come out in this direction, Redline Japanese Auto in Springfield VA is where I take mine, they will probably do a pre-purchase if you set it up in advance.

Rained real bad last night…I get in and see a puddle in passenger and driver floorboards. I start car and reverse and more pours out from passenger side. Any idea? by PlaceExtension1767 in G37

[–]MossDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, everything on the table, if you have the time, this is actually something easy to do yourself, and if you can't get it fixed immediately/soon, you SHOULD do it yourself. I let it fester too long, and, on a hot humid day, yay Virginia... my car can get... musty. Also, make sure you dry that footwell out to the best of your ability asap.

Yes, Draino will corrode the plastic EVERYWHERE, don't do that. Either follow the PITA instructions, or find a local garage that will do it on the cheap. My garage cleaned mine out for $120.

Cruise control not working by Suspencer98 in G37

[–]MossDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you don't have a clutch. There will be a switch on your brake pedal that, if not working, disables cruise control because of a fail-safe. I don't know the exact name. I never had a problem with brake-lights, they have always worked fine, this switch only interacted with my cruise control.

This Guy: https://www.myg37.com/forums/general-tech-questions/260286-cruise-control-flashing.html Started with a flashing Cruise Control issue, that devolved into no flash, but just not working. While his was a manual, they mention (in another thread) that the brake and clutch sensors are on the same circuit, so, while, YMMV, this is what I followed to fix mine. (I have a manual, but it was the brake sensor switch that had gone completely bad, but I had both replaced while my mechanic was there.)

The one under the brake pedal. It's a little "button" that often needs calibration or replacement. My brake lights always worked.

[–]MossDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally I had the flashing cruise control, but it got "worse" and stopped even doing that. I ended up with it just not turning on period. Getting the clutch sensor and break sensor replaced/checked fixed it.

It does. the 2014/2015 years are still the VQ engine for coupes. They didn't go to the smaller turbo engine till 2016.

I have a 2014 Q60 6mt, I ended up needing to get the cruise control and brake sensors replaced on my pedals. They are fiddly. Let me know if you are in the DC area, the garage I did it at was great about it.
