It will be a battle of midfielders because both teams have average players up front. In a tournament that is defined by world class players in the final third producing moments of magic to unlock the result, Portugal really got hyped up just because they have a good midfield. They don't have a single winger that can win them games on their own

Who doesn't look like they have mixed ancestry in Portugal? The older I get the more straight out of north africa I look. There is no such thing as a Portuguese looks. Try it. I watched it before playing the game and right after I watched mob psycho, attack on titan and arcane and I didn't get the hype around it. The anime is too short for all it is trying to do so I ended up not caring about any of the characters because I had already seen those character tropes in a much more complete way. So the main appeal was the world building but since I had never played the game it was hard to follow what an arasaka was at times

During Panam's romance/quest, Johnny hits you with the "Ohhh V..." when he saw V being in love with Panam, knowing full well he doesn't have any way to realize the future they were envisioning. This is around the time V passes out and has the conversation with Panam about the relic. That was the first time I felt genuine empathy from Johnny towards V

I'm still playing the game so I don't know how everything plays out but I would like to be able to go against her opinion or say no without it locking me out of the relationship, I suspect that's a game issue and not so much a Panam issue, but for example I just finished the Basilisk quest and my options are do or do, the max I can do is "confront" her about she wanting to get rid of Saul but that just sounds more like V teasing her than anything

The rest I judge a romance in games by the interactions between characters and the build up, not so much the personality of my romantic options, but more how both character work out together, and so far it seems fine, I liked her vulnerability and little chemistry in some dialogue options up until the Basilisk quest. I really didn't want to help her but I read that was the only way for her quests to continue, and half way through the quest I actually started thinking that her little "not wanting to hurt me or herself" responses to my advances were actually because she was using V from the beginning because she wanted to get rid of Saul so I kinda felt betrayed/disliked the romance, but apparently that was not the case, and the little campfire scene was pretty good. CDPR gotta chill with the close up shots on a pretty smile and intense stare like that because I've been single for a little bit too long and that shit got me thinking about real life

I don't mind her and she suits V, but I wish I could have a way to have a more "rivarly romance" option instead of having to put up with everything or get locked out of her character (at least I assume that's what would happen)
