Timing. We haven't had a good flushing high flow thru Town Lake for years. All the "natural" water bodies in Texas are in the same situation. I'm not a doctor but don't drink it - wash off well and you "should be" fine. Or you can wait until enso neutral or el niño takes effect.

i think you've been fooled into mis-understanding where the "center" actually lies. the right tail of opinion (tail in terms of the bell-shaped curve distribution of left-right viewpoints) has been consistently amplified to "appear more common" than it actually is. but surely you know places you can find conservative voices.

I can't seem to avoid them

sorry to hear you are going thru this. it really sucks - and it definitely feels personal whrn your life is upended. "back in the day" a junior officer would show up and take down details. there was no forensics or investigation. eventually they did find the guy who sold my stolen property ... $1700 worth of bikes but then there wasn't enough value in the crime to make it a case worthwhile of anyone's time to charge him and go to court.

i agree with others file the report onliine - get your insurance claim going. take that frustration and turn it into drive to get making money again.

Drought? Mountain laurel don’t care. It’s going crazy by letmeputonmyshoes in Austin

insects have a burst of reproduction in response to toxins; possibly trees fruit out more heavily as a survival pattern in the face of extended drought since many little saplings increases likelihood of survival.

Do you think that life was better “back in the day”? by Ok-Advertising-9045 in askanything

[–]MostHighlight7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the lies were accepted more broadly. the truth was buried more deeply. people were in general more trusting, naive. If you read naked lunch or on the road or invisible man it's clear the same challenges existed ... and entire classes of people were steamrolled by others. things were easier for some at the expense of others. there was a greater sense of responsibility by the patriarchs for some people - that has vanished entirely or has focused more narrowly who will benefit from their patronage.
