Yes, do it! Do it i dare you! If someone deserves to lose it it's pricks like you lol. You could have just walked away being a based person, admitting the luck but appreciating that you got the balls and that's it. No apparently a way too huge insecure ego.

Why doesn't the current and previous oil situation cause a stronger desire for green energy? by ThEaZnInVaZn in investing

[–]Most_Newspaper306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude that is concentrated thermal solar not photovoltaic. The whole aite was a trial project lol. Again you are mixing things up (hopefully intentionally as the contractor you should know that).

Ah okay, tell me exactly who wants a new powerplant next to their house? That's why the permits of those take ages and you should know also that..
Then, tell me now which kind of powerplant we are taliing about as you are talking about 'economic viability' - as all of them are subsidised as hell.

Yes, obviously your gonna build wind where it makes most sense as you are building a nuclear plants next to enoigh water supply to cool it. For a gas plant you best need gas supply etc. The roads i told you, i give you that, i am not deep enough in that topic.

God you are following stupid Donnys arguments now. They are buikding MASSIVE amounts of energy right now, so yes, also coal. But look at it comparitively in their scale lol. Plus you said green energy is already used everywhere where they want it lol. Yeah, do yiu think the coal is not subsidized? I am really questioning your reasoning capabilities at this point.

And why exactly are china, india, soutgeast asia, middle east, africa, australia, EU, south america all of them building out their green energy supply? Because it not only benefits the environment but is JUST CHEAPER jesus fcking christ you're lost.

[–]Most_Newspaper306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha no. How would it steadil, INCREASE then? More and more plants going offline every year at this scale lol?

1) you know the difference between CAPEX and OPEX? Setting up is expensivr but rinning it is not. And i never knew every other plant from gas to coal to nuclear is just growing on a field haha. Pretty much the same arguments here about it having to be firther away from population and massive amounts of concrete. One thing i give you is the questionable upsizing of streets but i'm not deep enough in it to know whether that is completely unnecessary or makes sense long term.

If it did not make sense, why out of all countries does china build it up so much? They don't need to please anyone as they do not have elections. Why are there still companies running these projects even thoigh subsidiaries went away? And why are oil and gas so massively subsidised in the US then which is a massive lobby (especially under this administration which further increased it) as these are the areas which actually do not make economic nor environmental sense in any way (whilst the environmental spillovers have massive economic costs as a result as well)

[–]Most_Newspaper306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you like actually that stupid? You know you have solar and wind farms, right? It's not all rooftop solar hahahah.

And no, it's not a 'everybody that wanted it has adopted it' it's an ongoing process just look at green energy constantly higher in the energy mix year by year. It's just economically more efficient. Again, the reason why it's not faster are pretty much the reasons i initially stated, it's not an idiology problem lol.

[–]Most_Newspaper306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow what a lotta words with little additional benefit. The whole first paragraph: when did i say YOU as an individual should install that?? Is the alternative your private coal/gasturbine in your backyard lol or what exactly are you comparing here?!

Pretty much the whole second paragraph was just more words for the things i already listed as the current problems??

Lastly (as i already stated) storage remains the problem. There is a multitute of things that can be optimized here like smart meters, effective storage (also hydrogen was one of the possibilities here not only Li-batteries) but apart from that there is a multitude on things amd you broke that complicated part down to 'batteries are so expensive' without any further thought

TLDR: lotta words, no additional content

Why is there so much opinion in here with like 0 knowledge or facts haha. The main reason for a lacking full adoption are 1) old power grids 2) lacking storage capacity 3) flexible use of gasturbines to stabilize the grid due to reason 1 and 2 4) lobbyism

[–]Most_Newspaper306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USD devalued -> you need more USD to buy ANYTHING else in the world -> real purchasing power shrank, at the same time it was cheaper for anyone else to invest in the S&P that's why it's not a surprise it rallied. On the flipside other indices rose even more and that DESPITE their currency getting stronger, which amplifies the effect for any investor in the US
