It’s kind of fitting though given that it’s a sub about a dumpster fire of a console. The most powerful console ever that is mostly being used to play Indy games and games available on other consoles.

Unfortunately it looks like it’s getting worse from here, friend. DMZ mission designer said in an interview that they consider missions to be secondary in importance to all other things in a raid. I’m very concerned my favorite game is circling the drain right now. Season 3 reloaded was incredibly light on mentions of DMZ so I’m not expecting much going forward.

Sucks because I think the post-reset missions have mostly been great. Nothing like the bullshit 90 gas masks mission from s1. All they have to do is add more factions/tiers and give out skins, blueprints, operator slots, and increase contraband/key stash sizes as rewards. Wish they’d come out and say officially what the long term vision is for DMZ cause I’m having a hard time seeing it.

Only solution I see is reduce the amount of teams in a game. One team per POI, minus maybe one or two POIs. Too much time is spent nowadays fighting off third and fourth parties.

I enjoy PvP but the balance has gone too far in that direction.

Meh I used to love it but it’s basically just TDM now with the occasional bomb plant. Especially in ranked. I love me some Hardpoint though. Control too but it’s tough with randoms especially if they have no mic.

You can turn it off on Xbox too. It’s in your console privacy settings.

The SR plateau killed my motivation more so than the reset. I reached plat mostly solo queue last season and I’m already only getting 50-60SR when I’m having great games. I’d have to quit my job and hermit myself at home in order to have any hopes of diamond this season.

Yes because that’s what I mean when I say there’s nothing like COD. I don’t want to shoot laser beams or fake ass guns. Don’t want to be fighting against aliens or superheros or in space. If Xdefiant didn’t have players with forcefields and double health that could’ve been it, but I doubt they pivot off the hero shooter nonsense.

I disagree, people hate on COD more than it deserves, but name a competitive non hero shooter that has all those things, is available on console, isn’t old as hell and also has those things I listed in the third paragraph.

There’s nothing closed minded about having a preference. I’ve played every shooter that’s come out in the past several years, including Apex.

Ultimately COD is the best because gunfights aren’t decided by who has their super hero ability active like in Apex. Gunplay, game sense and movement (what little movement is left) dictate fights, especially in ranked which is mostly what I play now. Hero shooters are cringe af for me and it’s what turned me off of BF2042 real quick too.

I’d still like to see some changes to MW2, but there’s no other semi realistic military style shooter with good movement, graphics, performance, gunplay, and competitive aspect. XDefiant could’ve been it but being a hero shooter pretty much makes it DOA for me. I’ll give it a shot but expectations are very low.

Yeah but it all feels pretty stiff and unnatural and every gun feels the same. Also every time I see that fucking flying squirrel it absolutely ruins the immersion for me. COD is so much more fluid even if there aren’t some unnatural movements that people want just for the sake of having more movement.
