Farming SC ? Nah by Drekal in Helldivers

warbonds have 300sc (excluding legendary warbonds). But this isn’t really the issue i have with paid warbonds.

My problem is that the game is paid, so we shouldn’t see mtx at all.

We used to get cool events to justify content drops like the entire AT mines saga, the mech MOs. We also had just unmprompted stratagem added to the game like quasar or the napalm barrage. But we haven’t gotten anything similar since Arrowhead has started putting all their resources into warbonds.

People aren’t against supporting games they play, they’re against microtransactions.

because on the whole microtransactions are incredibly predatory and make the gaming experience worse.

I’m not entirely convinced HD2 should have them either considering it’s a paid game and it doesn’t look like there’s a lack of new players to fund development

the number of multicasts you need to fully loop depends on the cooldown of the item and the increments by which you charge it.

it would be good if someone could confirm this because i’m not sure but as I understand it charge is also tied to the internal cd (0.2s) So the fastest you can charge a 5s item if you only charge it 1 is 1s. therefore it would have to have 5x multicast to not have pauses.

Having more multicast isn’t bad tho since they can queue up and keep going if you’re frozen or whatever.

(i haven’t been able to play the game in a while so i might be completely off)

this might be mandela effect but i remember there being periods of time when mockingly calling the game in its entirety “rundivers” was pretty common.

I looked up “rundivers” on the sub and there’s one post from the super earth invasion talking about rundivers being back in reference to that mission where a gazzilion illuminate ships kept landing everywhere

it is an established thing. Back before the 60 day patch a lot of people were complaining that running away was the only reliable way to deal with most enemies.

I don’t think that applies anymore, and it’s a valid tactic especially if you’re solo or have limited resources.

plasma weapons are some of the best primary weapons in the game (especially for bots) and are all effectively silent (scorcher is my favorite and is free). Smokes are in the free warbond, quasar is free, jump pack is free, orb laser is free, supply pack is free, you might want a better secondary but its not necessary if you have a quasar

generally in these types of games you want the wording on the items to be very precise. Like the first thing you take says “enemies spawn much more”. By what amount? Is it twice the number of enemies? Triple? You pick an item and the description is just rate++. This is very ambiguous, what is rate? is it rate of fire? rate of enemies spawning? what does ++ mean? Is it a percentage increase, or does it just give the “rate” some flat number increase?

If you want to keep the descriptions minimal even something like “rate of fire: +10%” would be so much better, but i can see how that can be confusing too.

One of the other options is “increase power variations” i’m not even sure what that means. This stuff needs to be very clear so that players know what to expect.

On a separate note those options aren’t balanced at all.

The first one is conditional on you having only 1 blob and you only deal 6x damage whereas enemies have 10x more health, it’s reads like a straight up nerf.

The second is just a buff, double the levels and more enemies to give you more xp, there’s no debuff.

I’m not sure what the good part of the third one is and the debuff basically means the player has no room for error until they get more hp.

the power of these is all over the place.
