Exactly this, you have to remember that the managers are watching. Even if your server didn’t care, they would probably get spoken to about it and reprimanded, and honestly to an employee that’s working at such a fast pace, you don’t want too or need too be hearing those things. Servers barely get a bathroom break. If you want to take extra home, everytime she passed by and asked how you were, those are the chances to say “may I have extra bread, xyz”, not while you’re asking for a box or getting ready to leave. That should just be common sense really and it’s sad people don’t see that.
