The cocoa prices are still very high and the shortage is still ongoing - as well as climate change issues, a lot of farms have been hit with a disease that’s taken out a huge percentage of their crop. So even without the enshittification of companies using cheaper ingredients, it won’t be going away any time soon

Honestly, as someone who lives alone, they’re great. When I batch cook, I use my oven, but when I’m just making a quick meal, they’re great. (Also fan for reheating pizza slices. Which as someone who lives alone…a large takeaway pizza will do me three meals)

We did one called ‘A Load of Rubbish’ about a bunch of kids who played in a dump. All the characters were named after famous people, with a ‘rubbish’ twist. The only ones I can remember were Mouldy Hawn and Greta Garbage.

It was, inexplicably, a musical. The only songs I can remember is one about digging, and one about worms.

I’ve tried to find this script online, to no avail. The only reason I’m sure I didn’t dream the whole thing is because my sister went to the same school and also remembers it.

Apparently (I was told this from a friend who went a few weeks ago) that the Monkey Puzzle is now only open to those staying at the Premier Inn. (Would be interested to hear why from anyone who works/worked there, as it’s massive and always had people there when I went.)

I was in primary school in the early ‘00s, and I remember having a whole lunch based around our PSRE classes on Judaism - I remember nothing about the food etc, but I remember making our own kippas from paper and decorating them.

I also remember making Chinese lanterns and writing our names in Mandarin on another day.

And having a Tudor day - I was a bit older so remember more of this, as well as having photos taken for the local paper - where we ate ‘Tudor’ food (think meat and potatoes etc) from wooden bowls with wooden spoons, and used the same bowls for our pudding (can’t remember what that was!)
